Interesting.
In regards to the Ridgeline recall, since the article states that 'the fuel pump feed port could crack when exposed to certain acids, including car wash soaps' it has to be the angled port on the top of the fuel pump module set 17045-TZ5-A10, according to the pictures on the link below?? everything else is inside the tank.
I guess made in the USA is not what it used to be??

I expect the Type-S variants coming out in 1 to 2 years will be Acura's best effort to live up to their jingle line since the vast majority of changes since adopting that line have been on the aesthetics side over performance improvements.

Will have to call and get an appointment to get this done. Hopefully just the software update and not needing to replace the pump. I haven't notice anything off.

It's not just the TLX and it is not every TLX. For those that are affected, myself included, it's in most cases just a software update. I am going to have it done at my next service and don't consider this a big deal at all for TLX owners but I guess others may view it as such. The issue that this is supposed to address has had little or no mention on the forums and is the only "issue" outside of normal service that I have had since buying the car in 2017. While I don't think the car or for that matter most of the Acura line up live up to the "Precision Crafted Performance" at this time it's far from being in the shop for frequent repairs and recalls (2015 excluded).

It happens. My V6 Accord Coupe is part of the fuel pump recall. They say it's in warmer weather when the fuel pump can cut out. It's 85 degrees here today. Had the car three years with no issues. Lease is over soon and ironically I may get the TLX V6 tech which is probably part of it depending on the build date..lol

There are 2 dealers about the same distance from where I live. I've only used one of them and haven't been too impressed so I thought I'd try the other dealer and made a call yesterday to schedule an appointment for the recall. The female service advisor with whom I spoke had not even heard of the recall and suggested that I call back later, when they had more information about it. I was a bit appalled by her reaction. Have yet to make an appointment with either dealership as of today.

Got mine done today. Apparently they do a idle re-learn with this fix as well, FYI.

Had mine done yesterday; with a FREE Oil Change Service, & FREE Car Wash
It seems that the 1, 2, & 3 transmission gears are more responsive;9 speed ZF auto
Maybe just wishful thinking
Anyway, car runs great, as always!

"Because your vehicle's engine is electronically controlled by a computer, some control conditions are maintained by power from the battery. When the battery is disconnected, a new battery installed or a tune is loaded, the engine must relearn its idle and fuel trim strategy for optimum driveability and performance."
Took this off Google cause was too lazy to type it out lol

As both are affected by said recall, I’m takkng the TLX and MDX in on Saturday. That said, maybe I’ll take an RDX A-Spec out for a test drive.

I live in Florida and i just got the update. Not sure if its placebo effect but the car does feel a bit more responsive.

ZF & Fuel Pump Software update
Ok; I'm going to say it: the ZF is as good as it's going to be!
After 2 weeks of testing, driving on streets, Hwy's, etc,my A-Spec feels like the car it ought to be
If I didn't know any better, the ZF is perfect; Aghhh!
Maybe it was the fuel pump as culprit, from the beginning
Anyway, if it stays this way, I'm real happy
No more "ballooning", in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd; smooth shifting throughout
Whatever the software fix, it WORKS!
Don't even think about the past transgressions
Kudo's to Acura for FINALLY getting it right.

I see you're on the east so you're experiencing the cold weather. I can't tell if it's more responsive in normal, but it definitely had more kick and want, to do more in sport

I agree, car is definitely peppier, even when cold and temperatures are low. Woo hoo!

That happened to me a few years ago when I received an update that required a relearn procedure, but they forgot to the relearn. It took me a few weeks of driving before things smoothed out.

Did Acura actually replace the fuel pump for anyone in addition to doing the software update? The recall states that particulates could stick the inside of the fuel pump. I have a 2015 TLX V6 and already had the fuel pump replaced almost 2 years ago because it was making a chirping noise. My car is also included in this, and the dealer called to schedule an appointment for the update

Think I’ll get mine in next week for the software reflash for the fuel pump. Maybe let them listen to it chirp as well. LOL
But I’m a little nervous about having them “try” to address the occasional hard upshift 1-2 or 2-3...... In threads past most said any attempts to modify the tranny made things worse! I have around 38k miles on my ‘15 SHAWD. It is due for a rear diff service too.
Is there a new and improved ZF reflash that most find as beneficial??

I had the recall done on Monday when I took my A-Spec in for its B16 service. I asked about a transmission software upgrade and was told there was none. In the meantime, I installed a Sprint Booster recently and removing much of the throttle delay has transformed my driving experience with this car. It’s so much better, that now buying the car out after the lease is a possibility.
