Acura Dealers in Cali said the TLX will be on sale by June 1st.....
I talked to a few Acura Dealers in Southern California and each dealership gave me the same date of June 1st on wards in regards to when the TLX will be available.
Is this the most likely date?

There is always a chance of delay release. I'm from SoCal too but I would be surprised if it was June 1st for TLX availability since dealers are usually last to get info on a new release.

Sounds like someone is propagating a rumor trying to gauge interest and maybe drum up a few deposits. I think Acura will tell us at NYAIS what to expect, though if the release schedule of the RLX was any indication, June 1, or thereabouts, might not be a totally bad guess for the first few cars to hit a small number of dealerships.

I think Oswald Vater (?) posted that he was told something similar by a dealer in another thread. I thought he or someone else said May/June or something.

June 1 seems reasonable, they have had forever to get this car ready, the Prototype is basically the done car, I suspect NY Show in April will have production car and they will announce on sale date.

^^ Then I am in *lol*
In all seriousness, there will likely be a limited number of TLX initially and dealers will get an "allotment" and only a bit later will they start receiving their specific custom orders. Acura will produce a certain variant and colors of the TLX and will ship them here and there just so most dealers have some inventory but it will take a while for the full availability.
The more time goes, the more I think it will only be in spring of 2015 when I will get my TLX given the fact that I will want a very specific model, in a very specific color with specific accessories. Unless these are available by the end of July (at the latest), I will just wait as I would not get a car in the later summer/early fall only to then park it for the winter....that is just kookie talk *lol*

At the Philly auto show yesterday, an Acura rep told me June, but I can't recall whether she specified June 1.

For what it's worth, my local dealer is being told preview at dealer meeting in April with the car on sale late May to early June. Not taking deposits until they have trim level details.

I appreciate the update. The more we have these reports, the more the early June date seems plausible.

I have been out of the market for a vehicle for awhile. And i'm looking to buy a TLX. I have a family member who is a new car sales manager here in a toronto location with Acura. I inquired today. Waiting to hear back on release/pricing

This information has not been released yet. There is no shortage of speculation though...

Lucky guy!! It will be in NY for sure....I was trying to get a buddy of mine to come with me but I couldn't convince him. I don't want to go by myself....little skinny Frenchman in a city like NY....I'll be eaten alive *lol*
Too bad I couldn't get anyone to come though....would love to see the TLX in the flesh as a production car.

Anyone here has a huge motor home? We could meet at the Walmart parking lot and all stay together and keep the cost down - To save money for the 5K increase in the cost of the TLX*lmao*

Why is Acura in a rush? Are they in that much of a hurry? They better get things right and make sure the car works when it releases. Unlike the Q50 where the DAS is questionable and the inTouch apps aren't even available yet several months after release.

Rush? For the past year people have been complaining they were screwing up because the car has been delayed. Lol.

Agree.
The 5G TL release has slipped by almost one year. The new-from-the-ground-up TL was suppose to come out last year as a MY'2014 model, when sticking to Acura's standard 5-year product cycle timetable.

I wonder if they'll go with the standard 5-year cycle for their entire lineup or change it up? I know the current TL and TSX are on their 6th year and I know the MDX has had a 7 year cycle since it was introduced iirc.

With how "meh" these recent offerings have been in the sedan world, I would expect a pretty strict 5 year update cycle this time around. The ILX is Acura's Windows Vista.

weather, I can appreciate your apprehension about NY. I felt the same until I moved there and ended up staying for many years. NY'ers are very kind and compassionate for the most part -- they mingle with so many different types everyday -- how could they not be? Not like in LA where you never really mingle except to wave in traffic. NY gets a bad rap imo because the people there are all about business and because a NY'er is gonna let you know immediately whether they're a fan or not. You don't have to worry about a skinny Frenchman being turned into a skinny French Fry by fire breathing NY'ers.

Glashub....I loved your post and I agree with with you said....I think my apprehension is not with the people as much as the size of the city. I live in a little rural community and the biggest city in our province is in the order of 100 000 people, so going to NY would be very intimidating.
By as you said, I am sure that NY has great people and it is a very touristy place....but as with any city, I am sure there are some rough/bad neighborhood and sure as I am here, that is exactly where I would end up... (lol)

The gritty neighborhoods always seem more interesting to me than Disneyland. But really now with gentrification -- you have to travel up to Washington Heights and the Bronx to get gritty. Even Harlem is all pretty and expensive. But I understand it can be overwhelming -- particularly when one is from a small town. But do go someday -- there is no other place in the world like it. Maybe you could drive your new 5G down -- since you'll be one of the 1st in world to have one. Drive it around Manhattan and bask in the glow of the approving looks you'll get from passerby -- when they jaywalk in front of you.
