1G TLX rules & guidelines for NWS & posting (NEW MEMBERS-PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST)

We have decided to add some rules for the 1G TLX concerning posting.

--If you are new you need to search before posting a thread. There is so much information in the garage and all over this site. I guarantee you, its been asked before.

--Treat new members with respect. I was new once and had no idea how to use the search function. Let's help them out, that's why we are here. There's nothing wrong with telling them to search, just be respectful about it.

--If you are out of line or confrontational-you will be warned. You get one warning then if you are a repeat offender you get a three day ban. If, during that ban, you come back under a different username you will be banned permanently. Your second offense after three days is a month ban. Again, coming back under a different username = permanent ban.

--We do not censor language, but we do NOT stand for profanity or vulgarity. We have some latitude on this one. But please choose your words wisely. We do not allow cursing in thread titles. No need to talk e-gansta either. This isn't a back alley.

--Please no comments on grammar/spelling/command of the English language. For some this is not their first language.

--1G is not the forum to sell items. We have a Black Market in the Off Topic section. Please post all for sale items there.

--This forum is information based. We try to keep it that way. If you have nothing to add to a thread, then do not post. People start threads here because they need answers. If you can't provide any input you are better off not posting.

--If you need to let your hair down and talk about anything, then feel free to go to Ramblings in the Off Topic section. That is where it needs to stay.

--These rules are not designed to take the fun out of posting. Their main purpose is to keep this forum civil. This is not a men's locker room. We are not saying we cant have discussions here. We just need to be mature about it.

--It is frowned upon if you post in a thread that is over one year old. Please look at the date before posting. You can learn a lot from these old threads, but many members will give you a hard time for resurrecting these old threads.

--If you are saying something jokingly or in sarcasm, please write it in red text.

--Most important, if there is an argument going on or someone is out of line, do not add fuel to the fire. Any participation in it makes you just as guilty. Just PM the staff and we will take care of the situation.

From this point on there is zero tolerance. All warnings will be sent in the form of a PM. If you cant follow the rules after that you will be banned and an email will be sent informing you of the banning. AcuraZine Staff reserve the right to determine whether any post is in violation of these guidelines.

Thank you for your cooperation.

NWS rules

These are our 1G TLX Not Safe for Work Rules and guidelines..

Well, more than 6 months after its implementation, my leniency policy has been proven a failure. I had hoped that we, the members, could "self-moderate". However, things have spun well out of control.

This is not a site for pornography. There will no longer be ANY leniency in that rule. The following guidelines (courtesy sauceman) shall apply to all postings henceforth.

Not Work Safe Rules and Guidelines

Threads and Posts

Threads and posts that fall into the following categories will be prohibited.
  • Sexually explicit writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.
  • Imagery containing nudity (Full or partial) and/or acts of a sexual nature.
  • Links to imagery or sites whose content violates our guidelines as outlined above.

Avatars

Avatars that fall into the following categories will be prohibited.
  • Containing nudity (Full or partial) and/or acts of a sexual nature.
  • Figures in a sexually suggestive position or movement (Clothed or not).
  • Imagery showing private parts through clothing (Wet T-Shirts, etc).
  • Imagery depicting or suggestive of drugs and/or narcotics.

Exceptions and Allowances

The original intent of allowing "Not Work Safe" posts was to for the sharing of typical chain-mail humor and off color jokes, that while innocent, remained NWS. These types of posts will remain tolerated so long as they do not fall under the definitions of pornographic NWS content.

AcuraZine Staff reserve the right to determine whether any thread or post is in violation of these guidelines. AcuraZine reserves the right to determine the appropriate disciplinary response to violators of these guidelines on a per-case basis.

Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.

For new members: Welcome to the forums.

There is a notice that appears at the top of the page when you log in which will explain why you can't PM, post pictures, or do certain other things. It was also in your registration email.

Reading and understanding this notice wil save you a lot of time wondering why you sometimes can't do what you want to do.

Hey (user name), welcome to AcuraZine! We hope you enjoy the site. Please note that during your trial period you will not be able to start threads in the Black Market sections of the site. You also won't be able to use the private message system, or add photos to an album right away either. As soon as you have accrued 5 posts and have been a member for 15 days, you will be granted this ability. If you see this notice and you have exceeded the 5 post and 15 day prerequisite, please wait up to 1 hour for the software to grant you this ability. Posts made in the Black Market, Group Buy, or Regional Forums are not added to your post count.

***UPDATE**

The following rules were put into effect in September, 2011, and apply to Group Buys.

We are no longer allowing threads/posts for group buys to be posted by members.

If it's for one of our vendors, the vendor can post the thread.

If it's not for our vendor, it's not allowed.

If you or someone you know would like to become a vendor/sponsor then click on the "Advertising Information" at the bottom of any page.

Because of this, it has been decided to no longer allow Carfax offers and/or requests.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation,
