Talked to multiple dealers in about a 200 mile area till I found the color / package my wife wanted in stock. Asked about wiggle room before making the trip out there. Once we were at the table, they were not going to be able to match the full value on the Subaru that I was expecting, so we worked the price of the car down as a result, and got another bid on the Subaru to get the trade in higher as well. They knew I wasn't happy with the trade value, I think that was the only reason they worked the pricing down far enough. John Eagle could almost beat the price without any negotiating needing FWIW. But they did not have the TLX in stock we were after (slate Silver)
