2019 Honda passport VS Acura TLX
 

So I started reading Car and Drivers article about the new 2019 Honda Passport and noted it has(J35Y6) 3.5L 280hp motor with the infamous ZF 9-speed albeit updated while weighting over 4200lbs and can do 5.8 0-60?!?! The SHAWD TLX weights around 3800+ and has the same (J35Y6) 3.5L motor tuned differently of course with the ZF 9-speed and car and driver tested that one at 5.7 second 0-60. Why pray tell can an SUV targeted toward the outdoors do so well at acceleration while being much heavier?
