Unfortunately Photobucket compresses images quite a bit so they don't look nearly as sharp as they should, but it was a crappy iPhone picture anyway. Still, discovered some new filters in the process....

Wow, red on red looks amazing! First one I've seen! I don't think we can get that up here in Canada. Only red on black.

This car looks great from all angles and in all colours. And from what the folks here have said, as well as the many reviews I have watched, it drives and handles equally well. It would be nice to hear from a few Canadians with a 2.4 ASpec, but it seems that a somewhat smaller percentage of 4 cylinder buyers participate in the forum. Perhaps the ASpec will change that. Regardless, I just find it very refreshing to see TLX forum folks so excited about the car! If both Acura and my Leafs continue continue to improve their product, anything is possible and life is good!

I am very impressed by seeing these beautiful pictures. Acura TLX A-Spec is the way Acura needs to go and manufacture more of these
I hope next round will be more horsepower.

Please, can someone confirm there is NO MORE shaking / vibrating between 110 - 130 km.h. I would like to ensure when the car drives at these speeds the front passenger seat and seat belt buckle are not moving at all. I have 2015 TLX AWD and Acura could never fully fix this even after numerous tire changes, bushing replacements etc.

Nice to see Aspec getting attention, but so far very little from folks with regular versions. If this keeps up, sales will be in trouble since heavy discounts are gone for now.

Check the other thread. I saw a post from someone who did a test drive of an ASpec who said that he felt the same vibration. I have to get over to my local dealer (they have one in stock) to check out the ride, but seems like this problem still exists for some owners.

NOt really sure about any seat issues, as I have none. But, just got past break-in. Your KPH speeds translate to between about 60 MPH and 80 MPH. I've had mine up to 100 MPH. It runs smooth as silk. No vibrations or seat movements I can discern.

I have seen two Aspecs on the road already. While the black looks good when parked the details get washed out while the car is driving. The red one looked really good on the road. The colour just pops.

I have to say that the regular 2018 non Aspec's just look dull. The refresh is not doing anything for me. Acura will probably struggle with them especially with the new Accord, Camry anf KIA coming hard. Good luck.

My 15 would cause a noticeable vibration of the passenger seat and a bottle of water in the cup holder would ripple like crazy about 120km/h. My 18 A-Spec is smooth as silk on the highway. No vibrations at all.

Go test drive one.

First Home Depot run. Thank goodness for 60-40 split rear seats. Gotta get that furring wood and drywall home for a wall repair somehow.

As per MTD advice, I did take 2018 TLX SH-AWD Elite Aspec for a drive yesterday. Unfortunately, the vibration is still there. It is NOT nearly as evident as it was originally in my 2015 TLX SH-AWD Tech, BUT it is there. It happens between 110 - 125 km/h. The passenger seat shakes a bit and the seat belt buckle vibrates a bit too. I had the salesman sit in the back seat, behind the front passenger seat and he also acknowledge the slight vibration. This was on a new car (dealer demo), with less than 1000km on it. It will only get worse when the km pile up. This is a DEAL BREAKER for me. How can they allow a car that good to have this vibration from the very beginning and never really fix it.

I'm a bit bummed that Lunar Silver is not available on the ASPEC, but Still Night Blue Pearl would still be my first choice.

Silver will most likely make an appeareance next year or the year after. They cant release all the goodies on their launch...they have to hold on to some goodies to release them in the upcoming years.

+1 on a Silver Aspec. I currently have a Palladium Silver TSX and I think it would look great with the darker rims. Great color to keep clean also.

I'm not a red car guy, but that's a beautiful color. It's amazing how such an ugly duckling has been transformed into a swan. That reminds me of a complaint that a reviewer lodged against the 2015-2017 version. He said that Acura simply did put enough effort into the design and execution of the car. I think his comments have been proven to be dead on.

That's true. It's sometimes hard to fault the designers themselves because at the end of the day, what they bring to the table has to be approved by someone. So, if the executives themselves don't care enough or don't have a clear enough mission statement, you end up with a safe choice that ends up being utterly nondescript. It takes courage to be creative, and that doesn't only apply to the designers themselves.

No kidding. Dealer just called said they had a SMR A-Spec in. Always loved the red! I've been waiting for a blue ASpec. Apparently only 1 in California right now in AWD. Wait is killing me. . .

Your story closely parallels my own. I was dead set on the Still Night Blue, but the more I looked at the San Marino Red, the more it grew on me and in the end I just couldn't resist. I've had so many black, silver, grey, and white cars and really wanted to get something bright this time. I think both colours look stunning.

I agree with some of the others here SebringSilver. The red is gorgeous! What a beautiful car! I thought I liked the blue slightly better than the red but the more I look at your pictures, I think the opposite is true. Really striking!

Thanks!! This colour looks absolutely mental in bright sunlight and when you think it can't get any more stunning, try parking it in a well lit parking lot at night. I haven't got any pics of that yet but suffice it to say that when you see it in those conditions in person, it will blow you away. Blue has a similar effect too.

I agree, the SMR is really gorgeous in person. Like the SNB, it jumps out at you. Love both colors. The red A-Spec at my preferred dealer sold earlier in the week. Now they've got a couple of blue PAWS A-Specs, though I can't imagine who'd spring for those in NE Ohio, with bad weather most of the year.

The first 18 I found in the wild was a white ASPEC. It looks really good in person.

The goal was to keep the TSX for my daughter who will be driving age in a couple years. It only has 40,000 miles on it, its been super reliable, and its a stick. I want both my kids to know how to drive a stick. I really like the WRX. Tons of aftermarket support, cool turbo woosh, and all wheel drive however its a pretty bumpy ride on anything but fresh asphalt. I like the occasional blast around a clover leaf or timing a light right to be able to do a nice 2nd gear pull but the other 80% of the time I wouldn't mind a quiet, smooth, ride to my destination. I cant swing 2 car payments but if there was any way Acura would trade me a 3 year lease for my 2010 TSX then I would do it. Could then just hand off my WRX to my daughter and she can wreck that instead. For those leasing what is the residual at lease end? My TSX is only worth around 12-13,000 according to KBB so thinking I'm at least a few grand short on a lease term.

I understand. Makes sense to me.

My A-Spec lead is 60% residual for 10k miles.

Good luck!

Wow. That's a high residual for 10k. The 15s had 58% residual for a tech shawd with 10k. they really make up for it from higher money factor. I prefer infiniti's low residual and very low money factor. In a perfect world, we all want high residual, low mf. Lol

Made a funky iPhone wallpaper for myself. Doesn't show my plates or anything so if anyone is a fan of SMR, here it is.
