Awesome weather around here today so I got the chance to give the A-Spec a wash. Just hit the 600 mile mark and I am really loving this car! The mod bug has began..35% window tint, Expel Paint protection film on the front bumper and mirrors, OEM Black TLX and SH-AWD badges. I have the Illuminated A-Spec door sills waiting to go in, hopefully tomorrow..

Thanks man! You're car is looking great too. I meant to message you but I've been a little busy. Apparently there's a "stop sale" on remote starts for A-specs cars. No reasoning behind the decision. So I am waiting to hear back.
I am planning to get the JYRTL (https://acurazine.com/forums/fifth-g.../#post16080580) treatment done; I have one quote so far, but I want to shop around a bit more. The quote for the tint (35% 3M ceramic, not including the sunroof or windshield) and wrapping (side mirrors, bottom side molding, and roof), is $1400. Since I've never done anything like this before I am not sure if that's expensive or a good price.

Yeah, I was confused why they didn't offer the A logo to match. It almost prevented me from doing it because I wasn't sure how it would look but it's a pretty subtle difference

That's so strange. Nothing has physically changed on the car, and the part is available for sale on all the websites so it shouldn't be an issue. You could always order the part yourself and make an appointment to have service install and program it, I think its around an hours labor.

Went to my local dealer. They had at least 12 Aspecs. These were all SWAWD. Half were black and they had 3 blue on the lot. First time I've seen the red in a long time. They had 2. The grey also made a return. I'm still partial to the white. I think it looks really sharp. I still haven't seen one on the road yet. For that matter, I haven't seen any new model of the TLX yet. The red also looks really cool. Amazing what a little tweets to the looks of this car has done.
thats a bit high Jay $450 was the wrap at Wrap Mogul Perth Amboy nj they have 2 locations. tint was $320 winning window tint elizabeth nj they have tons of video at youtube $700 for clear bra Xpel brand at Pro tint elizabeth nj

Greg, you're right I may just do what you suggested. I wonder if something has happened with installs on A-Specs not going well and Acura is taking precautions. I've dealt with my car salesman in the past, so I know he's not trying to make life difficult.
The 3M tent I was quoted was $320 and remaining $1100 was for wrapping work. I've received two more quotes for wrapping at $900 today, and tint at $300.

Wow that wrap prices is over half of what I'm being quoted in the DC metro area. I have friends in Perth Amboy, so it may be an excuse to make an visit to get my work done there. Even with tolls and gas added to cost, no way I approaching $900 - $1100 in total cost lol.

Thanks for this idea! I plan to order a set of yellow caliper covers. Yellow will go perfectly with my Still Night Blue TLX. Then I'll have two blue cars with yellow calipers, as my CTS-V wagon is also blue with yellow calipers! (Note: not a U of Michigan fan, I just like the colors....)

I was wondering the same thing. jyrtl, can you post a few shots outside please at different angles? I'm also debating on 50% or 35% all around. Legal in California is 70% in the front so I'm trying to not be too obvious either.
Photos I took yesterday while getting service done. Pretty much had written the TLX off, however, I really like the A-Spec. Was jonesing for that blue which is similar to the Kinetic Blue Pearl.

I think stick with your 35% 50% is adequate for me it might be to light for you but if its any darker it will be hard for them to see your red interior but if you have black it will enhance the darkness of your tint. check out the winning window tint on youtube they have so many variation to compare.

Nice to see we both new A-Specs from the same dealer on the same week. I went with the blue but White was my first choice. Who did you buy yours from? I got mine from Peter, it was a bnit aggressive but his boss Joe G gave me the car for dirt cheap. I love how the white looks in the A-Spec man !
oh, the blue does pop.The black is incredible though. They had the black in the showroom and it was amazing with the red. Dealers here want more for the blue w/red which I don't get.
I have searched high and low for a new BLue with Red interior aka SUPERMAN but couldn't find any. It sounds gross but after having that combo in a 997.1 you just have to own it to really get it.
I guess dealers are considering this the UNICORN combo hence the higher asking price?

Congrats! Post up some pics! Did you go AWD? I got mine through some of the upper management guys, Mike and Adam. I've been buying cars there for 13+ years. Did you get the Blue one that was on the showroom floor? Mine was the first white AWD that had came in and was only there for a couple of days before I snatched it up

Yep, I took the blue one off the showroom floor. They had my RED on RED but it was too much red for me and I couldn't find a Blue with RED so I settled for this Blue on Black unit.
I will post some pics when I get back from the long weekend.

I actually came close to buying it but the White did it for me just a little bit more. A jersey A-Spec me sounds like a pretty good idea!

When I got mine earlier in the month from Bridgewater the blue one on the floor was the only awd one they had. Mine was the only white black awd. From what I saw when we were looking for mine, they had approx 1 in each color combo. I picked up my plates yesterday and was talking to a friend of mine there and he said they are moving pretty quickly. Your car probably just came in before it went to Princeton.
