Stay on topic and keep the personal stuff out, please.
We'd like more pics, please!
I'm currently in Colorado Springs and was hoping to see an A-Spec, but the local dealer has no stock. I'll have to wait until next week when I'm back in Cleveland to look. My favored local dealer in Cleveland has a red A-Spec in stock. I'm a bit disappointed in my RLX right now, but a good deal on an A-Spec could keep me in the Acura fold. We'll see.

Yeah I like the looks also. I thought the spy shots looked like shit, but in the flesh, the car looks so much better.
I'm not thrilled with the performance of the car, but I feel acura set themselves up for success on the 2G TLX now.

Am I correct in assuming the extra dollars acura charges for the "sh-awd" badge is just for the blacked out one, and not the silver one?

Also... I see red exterior and red interior... that combo isn't available in canada. I think we only get the red interior on the white or dark grey versions

I passed on the first V6 A-Spec Elite that arrived at my dealership a couple of weeks ago because it was a red one (my heart was set on the blue). But the more I see the red, the better it looks. Congratulations to those who opted for the red. My blue A-Spec Elite won't likely turn up until September, apparently.

there's no way the red would have made you happy...you're paying 40K...you better LOVE that color.
Blue will be worth the wait...anticipation is half the fun and satisfaction.
What blue is it? Not same as NSX, obviously, right?
Plus, for resale a lot of people also don't want red.

While I was finishing the paperwork, 3 people wanted to take mine out for a test drive at the dealership while it was sitting in front waiting for me to drive it away.
Sales Manager said that the first two TLX ASPECs they sold were red.
Not scientific, but I think more people like the red (including me) than you think.

Well, I guess I didn't mean NOBODY wants red, as yours is nice.
I think I meant that people either LOVE or HATE red...they usually won't settle on red like they would on a silver or grey or something else that wasn't their first choice.
Who knows...
supposedly the red thing is a fallacy with tickets...but it does pop out in a sea of bland colors. Then again, a yellow S2000 kinda does the same thing
and yeah, YELLOW...talk about taking a crap shoot on resale!

I'd take the red over the blue any day

I wonder if production is limited to Canada or something? They should know that the release of a new model will generate a spike in interest as we've seen already. 3 months is a long time to make someone wait for a color they want. These aren't custom made or anything.

took one of ours for a drive on Monday. what really got me smiling was the exhaust notes and the throttle response from the ZF. not sure exactly what they did to the software to fix the response issue but its so much better now.
#112
Now if they could only apply this "fix" to pre mmc tlx's...

Have spent a few days driving the TLX ASpec. Someone asked about more observations.
Said it before, this certainly isn't like any other TL I've driven before. I was reminded of my favorite TL up until this point...an '05. That one, as nice as it was, had torque steer galore. Not the worst I've experienced, but you were always mindful of it. TLX has NONE of that. It handles very neutral. Steering is nicely weighted (Sport and Sport+). LOVE the steering wheel. It feels good in your hands and has all the controls you need fall right were you need them to.
Acceleration......not an S4 or a 340i, but certainly robust. Love the sounds the engine makes. Transmission shifts up and down when you want it to. It's quick and smooth, with no hunting around. Can't ask for more than that. Throttle response is excellent and predictable.
Brakes are predictable, strong and linear.
Suspension is firm yet supple. SH AWD gives confidence to take any corner at any speed.
The seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Leather (red) is soft and supple...feels expensive.
Car Play is quick and very easy to use. Love the center knob to use it. Very well thought out.
Red light piping throughout is a cool touch.
ELS is still the best OEM stereo on the market.
LED head lights, fog lights and rear light pipes (smoked) are very good, functional and just plain cool.
Paint, materials (fee expensive and operate with a quality feel), and build are the best I've seen.
Demerits....
-yeah...the nav graphics could use an update. The Garmin interface the Accord has would have been nice. But, not a deal breaker. NAV does what it's supposed to do and does it reliably
-still getting used to the "button" transmission. What was wrong with the old gear lever?
-while the dash is soft touch, there is a large swath of it on the passenger side. Maybe add a little "pizzaz" over there?
I'm nit picking now, but I don't know if I could come up with much more.
For the record, I've owned an S4 (previous gen), a 335i, 2 previous Acuras ('05 and '10 TLs), Cadillac CTS (GM lost in arbitration and had to pay me to come get their car back).
$45K MSRP (not what I paid) for this car....you could spend a whole lot more money and do a whole lot worse with your selection.

I really like the white versions. I think the white with those shark grey rims and black diffusers look really sharp

08 TL type-S
Not necessarily, only need reasonable suspicion to check someone out.
I love the looks of the new TLX A Spec, looks beautiful. Same engine I have in my 08 TL Type S. I can't afford it now, so I keep my 08 TL - S 6 speed. There are no 6 speed manuals anymore in the new TLX's?

Thanks, graphicguy. In short, you are saying, "come on in, the water's fine". Hopefully, there are no sharks lurking in there.
