2018 Honda Accord

I just finished reading an article on the new Accord, and other than the V6 being deep sixed and now only Turbo engines, this car has everything and then some, except AWD. This new car is a knockout with many and more features than the TLX. When I had my RDX in for service, I had an AWD TLX with the 9 speed transmission. My RDX has 6 gears. I found it to be too much shifting with the 9 speed. The new Accord has 10 gears. That is getting out of hand, just too many gears in my opinion.

Anyway, Acura is going to have to really up there game on the next TLX as the Accord is looking real good for less money. Same thing with the RDX I have and the new CRV.

It amazes me Honda get's features not available in the Acura counterpart. Should it not be the other way around?

Anyway, I think Acura better make sure they keep the V6 and keep the AWD away from Honda, and they are really going to have to up their game with the new RDX, TLX etc.

My 2 cents.

Valid. Acura needs to get the memo. The only reason why I didn't get an Accord Touring was driver seat comfort. Accord looks great, has good tech, and is a great value for what it is. Acura has no excuse why it did not put many features found from Honda counterpart into Acura, particularly better infotainment, Android Auto/Carplay, Garmin GPS, remote start, etc. The 2018 TLX is an improvement, but the 2016/2017 Accord system is still better. The 2018 TLX Android implementation is not even touchscreen. The 2017/2018 RDX/MDX should have gotten this as well.

I'm going to check out the 2018 Accord as well and like you the seat comfort is either going to make or break the deal otherwise I would have bought the 2016 model.
