2015 TLX SH-AWD - Mod front chrome beak
Just spoke to my dealer and they said they cannot paint the beak and instead I will need to wrap it. Any suggestions on what to do and where to take the car? I live in KC, MO. I've lurked these forums but haven't had any ideas....
Thanks.

Needs a 930
Only in the advance model. From the other threads in here the consensus is that it's the metallic paint that messes with the sensors. If non metallic then you're good.
I have a grill in route to me that I'm going to color match my graphite. It's metallic but I turn off all of the sensors anyways.

If I were you, I'd try hydro-dipping. It's cheaper than painting and you'll have tons of choices of colors and patterns.
He does a grille at about the 2:48 point.

If in the Kansas City area, you have two possible Acura dealers. Hopefully you are not using the one in Kansas. The Missouri dealer is actually OK with painting the beak and helped me with mine. As mentioned above, just don't use metallic paint. I matched my beak to the cars paint and then had it wrapped by a tint shop in Shawnee Mission, as I didn't want all my work getting ruined by a rock chip. Many dealers will paint the beak for you, even if you have the advanced model as I do.

I had my Advance model wrapped. Didn't notice any difference in the ACC, but I don't use it enough to notice a difference.
It did stop safely and controlled distance/speed correctly.
