Hello all,
I goofed and threw my car into reverse at 70mph. I bumped the keys with my knee, shutting the car off, panicked, went to throw it in N to restart and threw it in R.
Made expensive grinding noises, now it doesn't shift into reverse (drives forward just fine).

I figured I killed the reverse gear so I pulled the trans, opened it up and saw a horrifically perfect set of gears with no wear on them. I have no idea what the issue is. I don't know much about transmissions (I'm 19 lol). Anything helps ;)

It's a BAYA that was swapped into my 2006 TL at some point before my ownership.

Sometimes, if I switch from neutral or park to drive, the check engine light will turn on and the D will start flashing. However, the flashing D will go away after next startup and the check engine light just goes away a bit after that. I'm not sure if its the park neutral switch that is at fault or if it is just because I have some other weird electrical issue, since sometimes the "tighten fuel cap" light will come on and go away in a very similar manner, but this is new.
Any tips on what to test to see what I need to replace / check?

Hello everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I’ve found a ton of great info here over the years, but now I’m in a bind. My 2007 Type-S rack and pinion is leaking heavily from the boot and needs a full replacement.I’m specifically looking for the Type-S rack to maintain the tighter steering ratio, but I’m struggling to find aftermarket or remanufactured options that distinguish between the Base and Type-S. I’d prefer not to pay the $1,400 dealership premium if I can avoid it. Does anyone know a reliable source for a Type-S specific reman rack, or a specific part number I should look for to ensure I don’t end up with a Base model ratio? Thanks in advance!

Hello, earlier last night i ran into a little problem. My passenger side small light stopped working and this morning the other side stopped. I will mention that i have an after market switchback but not a bulb. I have an led strip inside of my headlight and it is wired into my small light and blinker and has a resister for hyperflash. I have checked most of the fuses and my small light was actually popped. So i said ohh okay not too big of a deal but after replacing it they still dont turn on and the fuse is still fine. I will also mention i have a bad starter relay but im not sure if that has anything to do with the lights not coming on. I have tried looking online but tbh i wanted to see if i could get some sort of answer or thing to try to fix it.

both pictures are before the lights going out. Just to show for reference
