ontario: retail sales tax assessment

has anyone ever been audited for their private vechile purchase? i just got a letter in the mail saying that i have been audited for the purchase of my 06 TL.

wtf? why? because you purchased it in cash from a private seller?

im gonna pay off my car in full next month and im scared it will cause suspicion now :/
