Burning Brakes
its brake dust. you can use any dirt and grime remover that safe for paint to remove it.

Spray wax is more suitable for maintaining the coat protected. When you pass the clay bar, is not as harsh as polish but it may affect the previous wax on your car (if any). The idea of the clay bar is to remove any imperfection on the paint and once is clean, you need to 'seal' it...protect it. Maybe someone can chip it with their opinion here.Originally Posted by spatel83

Yeah Canadian tire has it. Did some searching around, it's actually rail dust. It gets embedded in the clear coat.

Canadian Tire. Meguiars, or Mothers works good. I've used both.
Clay bar removes paint contaminant. My paint feels soooooo smooth and slippery after clay bar. Then use wax to seal it up.
Clay bar is also great for removing paint over spray.

I had the same issue and I thought it was the pearl rusting on the WDP from being neglecting.. Took a clay bar to the whole car and it's amazing the difference it makes

For those who normally buy washing/detailing stuff @ Canadian tire, I suggest the product from Autoglym. They are a bit more expensive but they do an amazing job. I sold my Pilot 10 days ago and they couldn't believe that it was an 09 with +100k... It was looking almost better than brand new. Now, my TL is black and I know from past experience that maintaining a black car requires more attention and there are some products around for black cars. Any suggestions on what I should consider using?
Thank you all for your good advises!!

try CarPro Iron X
you will be amazed
Brian,; mine is black. I will check that product.. I like testing them. So far I use Meguiars with carnauba wax once ever 6-8 weeks and in between I used the Meguiar gold (I think that is the name). For wax (when I use meguiar gold) I use the autoglym spray waxOriginally Posted by brianch

I think brianch is asking the OP.
I don't think he's blind and couldn't read that you already stated you have a black car.
Regarding black car products, ask buddy rockstar143.
His paint looks so nice, and it's an 04.
