Anyone know good modding shops/contacts in Toronto?

I've never been into modding before but am looking for a shop/contact that does modifications and know our Acuras (3G TLs). This summer I just want to do the basics...eg. clearing out headlights (o4komodo in Kitchener can do em but I'm trying to go LOCAL).

If it's in Scarberia, then even better

Not sure about shops, but have you considered the DIY approach?

New TL owner, I am also interested in any shops that are good with TLs. I see some of you guys have mods done already. Care to give any input as to where you got it done? and pricing. Thanks

I had my t-belt done at Al Tech. Looks like they do a lot of performance upgrades. I will be going back there for sure.

I would refer 'linuxglobal' of TAC.
I believe his name is Ciprian.
He does top notch retro-fits and I'm sure he would do headlight clearing+blacking out.

Hey PVR, I got my lip kit and spoiler done from
A-1 Mississauga Auto Collision.
Located at 875 Central Parkway West,
Mississauga. L5C 2V9.

905-602-8113, Talk to Jose.

They worked on my buddies CTS after it got keyed as well, excellent job. The paint matching on my car (LGM colour) was beautifully done as well.

Hey guys one of our members on the facebook group has opened up shop. So just helping to get the word out for him. I can't personally vouche for him (dont know him), but everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Lil msg from him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am an inter-provincially licensed automotive technician. I have many years of experience working all types of vehicles but my passion lies in working on Japanese cars. Honda's and Acura's specifically! I have owned five honda civics from three different generations. I am on my sixth civic, this one is a 1992 EG Hatchback that I bought to be a project car the shop. I used to own a 2000TL as well, but I had to sell that to start my shop.

My shop, called Sunny's Auto Clinic is located near Main St. and Danforth Ave. It opened last month and I want to get the word out to people that I am here and promise to a good job, be honest and fair to all my customers. This business afterall is based on trust. I know that most people being a car nut in this group does a lot of the work and modifications themselves but I want to let you guys know that for the stuff you can't do in your driveway or garage, or need some help with something you can bring it to me and I'll look after you.

An oil change using up to 5L of Castrol 10W30 oil and a good quality oil filter is only $30 including taxes and all. So, come check me out!

thanks,
Sunny

Sorry folks. Looks like he doesn't do black outs unless he's doing retros now.

Here's his message
sorry i no longer do black outs without retrofits

its a free service with a retrofit but its too much of a headache and would be at least 120$ for a blackout.

if someone gets a retro, its 350$ labour, if they get a blackout its not like it would be 350$+ 120$, its just a problem because i have to remove the bumper and all that mess just for paint.

If he really really cant get anyone to do it under 120$ total, then let me know and ill try to fit him in. But publicly, i dont do blackouts.

427 Auto Collision in Etobicoke is good, I just got my roof spoiler and lisence plate trim piece painted there.

European Autobody near Woodbine is also one of the top body shop in the GTA, they do Ferrari, Maseratis, BMW, etc. I had a cowl hood painted for my SHO by them and they did a great job as well. They're pricy though, and tend to only do European cars. It wouldn't hurt to try to contact them either way.

Hey SSTL thank you for the info, however, I already made arrangements from a different body shop. My TL should be ready by the weekend.

Thanks again

He can, actually, and he will.
JNC has no issues working with Canadian, American or China headlights.

The only difference between the Canadian headlight from the American headlight is that...
1. We do not have the "Fog-Light-Nipple" thing
2. Our DRL uses 9006 [or was it 9005?] while the American fogs use the opposite.

Otherwise... headlight is the same.
His exchange program may be a little more difficult to come across though.

Also, I don't mind starting up this service.
The only issue is that I do not have spare headlights to do an 'exchange program'.

Also---I do not have color-coded paint...

I'm also unsure of how to install the angel-eyes or L.E.D strips [but can learn, it seems easy enough].

If you can't find someone to get the job done, just let me know.
I come to Tdot/GTA quite often.

I am willing to do my own version of the 'exchange program'.
I can meet with you and we can swap headlights. For the amount of time it will take me to do the headlights--- you can use my blacked out, smoked ambers, ZKW-R with 85122+ headlights while I use yours.
That way you will not be without a car---and I can bring the work home. When the work is done we can just swap headlights again.

They are extremely hard to find. I don't think they make them anymore, so you have to either find a used kit on this site or try and scrounge one up from junk yards?? There are GTA companies who make fiberglass replica kits....google search...

For anyone looking to do Audio work. I would highly recommend checking out Selective Sound. I used to be on TCC, and Davis (owner) did an amazing job! Great clean and efficient staff. Very knowledgeable, but if they don't know anything they will be straight up with you rather then lie to you like a lot of people do. I've seen them do amazing full custom fiber installs. They are located in Mississauga.

Also if your looking for mods that have DIY posts on the site, you should ask the members, and maybe they will be willing to do it for you for some extra cash.
