Can any of you recommend a dealer in the area? If any of you have some personal experience with some good dealers that treat your cars as you would expect under service I would love to know about them

I've been to Markham Acura 2-3 times and they were pretty good. treated me well, but they're a tiny bit more expensive than other acura dealers, but to me it was still worth it.

i will NOT go to Acura of North Toronto

Thanks SG! Yeah I actually heard those guys even replace steering wheel lights without charging that crazy airbag removal fee. Its good to know they are vouched for again. I may take my car there for some warranty stuff.. only problem is I'm at 79900kms I think I will call them tomorrow.

I recommend not using Acura 2000 in brampton, that's about it though

 

I highly recommend NOT using Acura of Sherway.

I switched from Sherway to Erin Mills Acura and have had no issues. I also get 25% off parts at Erin Mills Acura

 

Yeah, i've heard lots of crap about Acura 2000.. thanks for the heads up.

So how did you manage that?

 

I USED to work for TRG:CS [we did surveys for Honda/Acura].
Too bad I quit--and we shut down.

I could have gotten you each dealership reports [based on our surveys].

 

My brother is the asst service manager of Acura Erinmills! They have one of the cleanest shops and best mechanics!

 

^ I JUST took my car into Acura Erin mills after some recommendations.. they accepted my car for warranty repairs at 80.2k!

They need to order parts and I'll be back in on Tuesday. Still not sure what they ordered and what they plan to do with it.. I noticed when I had it in last week they inspected or tried to get rid of one rattle and ended up leaving some oil/grease marks on the fabric of my A pillar

That's about it.. the customer service and friendly atmosphere was great.. I am very curious to see what they end up doing to my car when I bring it back on Tuesday.. then I will know for sure..

 

just bought a new car from acura of north toronto -- i got a good deal but the negotiating experience was not fun... do i have the option to have it serviced anywhere else? will this not void my warranty? will another dealer take care of it even if i didnt buy it from them? seems like erin mills is pretty good so i might take it there for servicing... a newbie here so hope you guys can help - first car here in canada/north america

and to answer your question, yes, you can take your car to any Acura dealer. They will all honor your warranty. Just take off the frames around your license plates that say "Acura of North Toronto" b/c it doesn't sound like you want to be advertising for them

 

I havent gone yet, but my buddy said he is good.

thanks sg81, got the 2010 rdx base... i was reading another post which said acura markham techs are not good anymore (the good ones left). anyway, what about downtown acura? any reviews? why is acura north toronto not recommended too?

 

If you take your car to erinmills acura you shouldnt have any problems. Ever since I switched they have put more things under warrenty for me that acura sherway denied and claimed warrenty wont cover it.

 

I have heard nothing but good things about Erin Mills, I believe they sponsor the NSX Club as well and remember them doing a good job on an NSX engine refresh/rebuild.

ok acura erinmills it is... btw guys, since we're all living in the snowbelt and our roads are salted, does this void our 5 yr rust warranty? do you guys rustproof your vehicles? should we or is it a waste of $ (and time) to rustproof? i own the vehicle and want to have it at least 5-8 yrs...

Travel a bit and go to Erinmills, wont be disapointed FTW.

 

i've been going to erin mills acura since 2002. I know Ron the service manager and also a tech who is the ONLY person I allow to touch my car.

he also does work on the side :-) hehehe.

and if i need to buy parts I get him to do it cause he gets a 10-15% discount.
