Dude, this is just sad. Yea you love her but she loves your money, not you and not even her own kid. I had a really really rough time getting out of a relationship and posted in here and everyone said it was just going to get worse. I didnt want to listen and just kept thinking i loved her and she did too but guess what, it did get worse and i still stayed. Now i have an F'ing lawyer because things got so outta hand. Get a lawyer and hire someone to do something to secure your money (why the hell do you have so much money in a checking account just sitting there making nothing for you. Anything would be better then that even a CD or a maybe a RothIRA for retirement) and get the hell out. Nothing good is going to come of this Please listen to everyone and save your daughter
Edit - i know the car talk makes you feel better but cars are worthless when it comes down to it. Who cares what you drive, enough with researching cars and tractors research what you can do to get your daughter and ditch your wife

I know I could do it now with the money I have. there's a couple things #1. Working at Botkins feed and grain it would never get driven because I'd never take it to work. #2. my insurance on it would be CRAZY. plus she has 10 points on her lisence so I'm 90% sure they wouldn't insure her on a beast like a M5 or E55. she's been in like 2 accidents and 3 tickets in less than 2 years.
I swear to christ sometimes I want to bitch slap you Derek.

Water-S,
Does you own family (mom and dad) know about this extent of the problems your having...?
Like Sarlacc said you need to pull your head out of your ass and look at what's really going on here... Otherwise your going to suffer, financially and mentally.

You're a good guy, water. You're the definition of a hayseed, but you're a good guy.
I'll ask you again though - do you even like your wife, or are you staying with her solely for the purpose of not having Sierra living in a broken home?

Im sorry this is a broken home. No one wants to grow up with parents that just fight and fight From the limited info in this thread, you, your wife, and your daughter all seem like you may benefit from a divorce. Just something to think about because it def. seems like its coming whether you want it or not

Burn some dust here
Cob3683's 5 step process for Water-S:
1) Find a damn good attorney and file for divorce
2) Find a way to move....next city, county, state, etc.
3) Allow MINIMAL contacts between your wife and daughter
4) Other than the times you and your daughter have to see your wife, don't even bring her up. Make it seem as if "she is dead to you"
5) Make sure that little girl gets a lot of support from you and your parents and, almost as importantly, a good education
OR....
OJ Simpsons 3 step plan
1) Stab the bitch and a guy friend of hers that looks like Ron Goldman
2) Hire 4 lawyers: (one black, one white, etc.) and base your case off on the fact that "if the glove don't fit, you ain't got shit"
3) Buy a white Bronco and drive around Anna, Oh. for awhile
You might want to go with the first option though.....

Water-S im not saying to end the relationship. Your wife needs to go back on her meds and you two should go to counseling. Then go from there...your daughter deserves at least that.

You just need to get real with yourself. Only you can decide what needs to happen. It's your choice, not ours. The rest of us are just giving the best advice we can, but like I said before we don't know the whole story so it's up to you to decide what happens.
Is divorce the best answer? Maybe, but who knows....I can tell you don't want that to happen and I'm in no position to suggest that you get one or not.
BUT, I do agree that you need to start planning ahead for this stuff in case it does happen in the future. I've lived on a farm my whole life just like you so I know exactly what you're talking about in your "opening up" post about the tractors. I would personally hate to see you lose some of that stuff because you failed to plan ahead. I couldn't imagine losing my farm and I know how much it means to you.
I wish you good luck and I hope you can see these people responding aren't being mean...some might be a little frustrated, but they're just looking out for you because your such a nice guy. Think of it as tough love
Again, good luck. I hope things work out for you

I think what that bible verse was talking about was the basic function of love in a marriage... To me, it sounds like a way to communicate the necessity of compassion and understanding in marriage. To not keep records of errors, to have patience when things are tough, etc.
Water, love is wonderful. I, for one, am glad you do love your daughter as much as you do. That's really important. But because you love your daughter you have to look at the situation for what it is. Because you love your daughter you have to raise her under the best environment you can provide for her. Living with your wife, unfortunately, does not seem to be that environment.
Take the advice of some of the people here and at least talk to a divorce attorney. At least think about protecting yourself.

I don't wear American Eagle or any high dollar clothes. I'm simple. I wear a lot of Carhartt,Wranglers. mostly cause it's working clothing.
Amy didn't like how "honest" I was. She'd say "what do you think of this dress" or whatever she was trying on at the store. If I didn't like i'd tell her. if they want my opinion I'm gonna give it to them. if they don't like it don't ask me for it.
only thing is I do have a heavy depression issue. this was way before Amy. like in Junior High.
now about tractors and fire trucks. this sounds silly(and please don't laugh guys because I'm opening up to you guys) It's like my a little kid's blanket. you know the kid always happy if he or she has that special blanket. my blanket is fire trucks or tractors. I know a lot about both. both from working on them and reading operator books and mechanic books on both. I have at my house 1 room that's painted John Deere green then the top is yellow like a Deere hood.
then I got my firefighting room which is red of course(that's my office).it has all my firefighting figurines, statues, awards, misc crap.

Where did your depression issue come from? You have to deal with THAT first...you should have before you even got married. But now it's happening all at once. She's devaluing you. In other words, she's walking all over you and not treating you with RESPECT!
But now things exploded. I would start hiring some divorce lawyers. Find a woman who REALLY cares about you. Oh yeah, and instead of buying some expensive cars, maybe you should buy that farm you've wanted and find an HONEST girl. I know it's a lot easier said than done. But you have to do something for you or else your daughter isn't going to have a good role model.
It's better to see Sierra half the time than to be miserable ALL the time with her around. Children can feel the tension and it's hard on them too.

Water-S is infuriating at times, and thick headed. But he is not a loser. He just needs to learn how to listen.

Sarlacc.....he might not be a loser...but he tries awful hard.
Im thinkin that there is no one that is as STUPID or IDIOTIC as Water-S makes himself out to be. I bet he posts on here to see what kind of rise he can get out of us.
Edit: He does live in OHIO. So, I could be wrong.

The birth of his daughter only raises the stakes. Even though divorce may be the right choice I'd be amazed if he could reach this decision within a few short days of posting his marital problems on this forum.
Honestly, I think some of his critics should really cut him some slack on this one. It will take time to digest everything. Even if his woman truly is using him it can be painful to come to that realization.

Is anyone besides me wondering if Water is really a woman? I mean, he/she comes on here with a problem, everyone pretty much says the same thing in fifteen ways, and he just keeps on going like nothing was ever said? He even said he just wanted to rant - guys don't rant - we complain and then usually try to do something about it. Girls rant, get advice from guys, then bitch that nobody understands them. Just my opinion. carry on.

Personally, I think CK wants Derek and Amy to get into a fight where someone runs over the other party with a tractor. It would be better than the usual Dayton Daily News coverage. What's today's top local story in the DDN ... ah, garage sales.
Sierra is going to have an awful life until Derek makes the right decision and acts on it.
