It doesnt matter, either. Sure as a female, you want something that you love. But it is may more then what the ring looks like, its more a less a symbol of something a little bigger then a price tag.

That's what you want (hearts & arrows) in a brilliant (aka round) cut diamond. Looking at the diamond from the bottom (ie not the part you look at), will tell you how well cut the diamond is. Good job on the cut. I don't want to sound like an ass but looking at the pics of the actual diamond, it does look quite yellow (ie not colorless). Maybe it's because of the flash or whatever ... need the monocle to see if there are any inclusions, etc. I've been looking high & low for diamonds 'cause looks like I'm in the market for one by year's end .... shhhhh!

As for the most expensive gift for the significant other, it's a trip to Singapore + spending money to buy lots of clothes and other stuff. Second would be the U2 tickets I bought for this October in Detroit. (Why did I pay so much?! )

SOmebody I know from college gave his girlfriend money for a car. She ended up getting a Chrysler Sebring convertible.
Well they broke up, and he wanted the car. Too bad for him it was in her name. He gave her the cash and she bought the car. Word of advice; if you buy a girl a car make sure its in YOUR name.

Would she notice if one of the side stones were missing? I'm shopping for diamonds now

Sounds like that ring probably set you back more than $50k. What was the occassion?

LOL. Hey, you never know...one might get stuck on a toof when she punches you in the mouf

The occasion was a few months of doubt followed by the my realizing that she was the most perfect woman on the face of the Earth. We'd been together 2 1/2 years and she just graduated from college, and me, well, I'm just a lucky, lucky man.
