This is a tough situation. How protective of is Matt of his sister? Is it an older sister or younger sister? If its his younger sister and he's protective, you can pretty much be guarantied a lot of turmoil and probably a friend lost. How well do you know your friend Matt? If you have a reputation for treating woman like shit or talking all over town about them its likely to piss him off that his sister could be the next on your list. Move slowly and before you do anything you should talk to him about it, is it worth losing a friendship over?

If he's a good friend, talk to him about it before anything happens. If she liked you when she met you, I'm sure she mentioned it to her brother. You never know. Some of the idiots I call friends would have treated my sister a lot better than her last boyfriend.

Depends on the kind of person your friend is. Some guys hate the thought of any guy railing the shit out of his sister, and i think that's understandable. Others don't care.

my friend is laid back as hell, and doesnt really have that good of a relationship with his sister ... atleast that what his sis says ... and him as well. they never realy talked to much when they lived together. (matt and lindsey are in college now) matts a senior lindsays a fresh/soph now.

The only way to know if he'll be okay with it is to either bang her and let him find out, or ask now.

Just talk to him. If he is cool he shouldn't see a problem in it. I had the same feelings untill I talked to one of my friends about his sister. He said he'd rather see her with me then some other guy he doesn't know. It didn't work out, but it was all good.

Worst move I ever made was liking my best friends sister. Luckily, she shot me down so we got a laugh out of it. But looking back, if we would've dated it wouldn't have worked out because of the way she is, which would've cost me a friend.

I've been dating my friend's sister for 8 or 9 months now. He clearly knwo that I ws interested before it started that and his G/F at the time had been trying to convience him that his sister and I should get together. BTW she's his younger sister. Now if you thinks that's tricky, try this him and I are both off at college, only this year we've been roommates (his parents own a house in the area I was in community college at) so think about this when thing progressed beyond just going on dates he either was going to find out on his own or be told and prevent a scene (she and I stay over at eachother's places on the weekend) that's a tough call.

Cob has a point if it is just going to be fucking or a couple weeks of dating its best not to mess with it. If sure there is a potential there you might consider giving it a try. The girl I am seeing I had known her brother for 9 year seen her from time to time and then spent 3 weeks in europe with his family (and almost every waking moment with my friend, his G/F, and his sister) and there were a few times that we were alone so I had a really good feel for things before I started the relationship.
