You guys are young so if you're going to waste money on a car then do it now. When you're older and you have kids, loans, home(s) etc then shit needs to change.
In my house if it's over $200 we discuss it before purchasing. So....not too many mods will slip by without her knowing. When I was not married I did what I wanted.

That's exactly what I'm doing and what she's referring to. I'm to the point where I know doing anything else to the TL isn't the best use of my funds. Yeah I'll do little shit here and there but I'm not going to blow $3000+ on a set of wheels. Both she and I are ready to be done with school and get a place of our own and I can't make that happen if I'm spending all of my cash on my depreciating car
Before you ask "how" the car came with wheels, exhaust and the stereo. I bought the stock ones and sold the aftermarket parts. Made about $2000 overall.

It's always a HUGE balancing act. Relationships require attention and time too. Listen to Jayne and the other women who are in to Acuras/cars. Their advise speaks volumes.

After finding out how much I spent to build my gun, the gf has become very interested in how much the hobby costs. She likes my modded ack, but yesterday I was getting stuff ready for a shoot this weekend, and she was asking me, how much does this cost, how much does that cost
