The best part was, she was 2 lights from Pep Boys, and wanted to tow her car a half hour home. I kept telling her to get it jumped and drive it over to PB's. And for $100 poof you'll have a new battery. Instead, her dad jumped her car, and she drove it all the way home, only for it to die in their driveway, then they jumped it again, and took it to a different PB's hours later. And all the while wanted to trade the car in just cuz the battery was dead

Knowing basic stuff or a little more is cool. TBH checking fluids changing tires isn't really rocket science.
If she washes her car and pays attention to it, I think that's cool. MT is a plus.

I am into cars although I don't know as much as I think I should. Blame that on my mom. When I said that I wanted to go to Wyoming Tech, my mom sternly said, "No, you go to college then get a job!" 
M'kay...somehow those are different. Now I make peanuts and have to pay a mortgage of a student loan...nice. Alas, I digress....
I'm finding it increasingly rare to find a guy who even knows how to change a freakin' tire or check the oil!!! They're all too busy jacking around with their damn phones to actually go out and physically learn anything "manly!" Hell, it's next to impossible to meet someone when they're constantly staring at the phone. Ya know?! I'm sure a significant portion of you guys have experienced the same irritation/frustration with females and their phones, right?

I think it's safe to say it depends on the man. I think my husband refuses to believe that any female could really be into cars on her own LOL. It's either 1 of 3 things...the chick doesn't know squat, she's into it because of a man, or she's an attention whore. Oh and on the odd occasion that she may know remotely as much as he does about cars-- she's automatically labeled a dike lol. Not sayin it's nice, but yea lol... Prob sways his decision bc he knows if he's going to a car meet with his boys, he knows that's the one time I'll be happy to see him go, and once a chick goes every guys wife is like "wtf" and ruins it for the whole bunch of em lol it's like a female trespassing in the mancave...
And I believe the proper, non-dirty, non-ancient word is Vajayjay or Coochie, and yes I have said both to my gyno, and I do have class, I just have a great bond with him because let's face it, the vagine is the most important part of the promised land lol

Are the girls crazy insecure? I don't understand how your presence would make a difference unless you were crazy hot, super nice, and the girls were insecure.

With that being said, I don't think a female should not attend because afraid of any drama. If it is just for a love of cars, then so be it! As long as you know that's what ur there for then ur cool. If there is any bs then that should be between whatever guy and his girl, not u.
I've actually become quite friendly with a couple of the "groupies" (their words not mine lol, no way implying anything serious). Talk on a regular basis, about cars, life, everything!

I know for my husband and his club, it's like a guys night out thing. I have gone with on occasion, but majority of the time the wives/gfs are home with the children. Imagine your gf/wife going out for a "girls night out" with her closest 10 friends then you find out that some guys just showed up and chilled the whole night with her. Your first reaction would be something along the lines of "wtf, I thought it was GIRLS night out lol....
