Divorcing my husband

Ok this thread is really starting to bring me down with all this slow singing and flower bringing. Sara wants to go out and have a good time. What the hell is wrong with that? The last thing that she should do is crawl in a hole and wither away because her relationship died. Not her, the relationship. Did anyone actually read her post, or did you all stop at the title?
Sara knows we love her...what she wants to know is will we MAKE love to her! Sara, yes, I will tear your ass up! You are probably still sexy, and you still have some good years in you! Now if you can WORK a stick like you shift a stick, then girl dayyuuummm!
Let all subsequent posts reflect that...

I'm 31. I'm really supposed to be alone the rest of my life? No partner, no sex, no potential to have a family, no companionship?
And who said anything about immediate? I've read some of Sara's posts on here - they've been working on things for a very long time.
And if you're referring to me when you say immediate - my marriage effectively ended September 12, 2006 when that horse handed me the traumatic brain injury. It just took a while for the dust to settle and for us to realize (and then admit to) the consequences.
Life goes on - why would you speak of throwing in the towel that way? The lucky ones will have the fortitude to make the best of what's in front of them at any given moment.

Never say never unless you were once faced with that situation.

I think we can't really know what we'll do in a given situation until we're actually in it. Particularly the more difficult, complicated ones. May you never have to find out.

I divorced when my daughter was 5, and vowed to be semelparous, as she was such a blessing to me. I snipped, snipped and made sure of that later on. But before I did, I am sure that if I found someone else I would've given my all to it once again and had another one if need be. It's commonplace as a man to swear off future marriages or serious relationships that might lead to one. But life is so fulfilling when we share it with another of equal importance. So the best thing to always do is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on that horse and ride! After all, the ability to adapt is inherent in us all...

Things generally work out for the best. There are reasons relationships work and there are reasons they don't and noone necessarily needs to be blamed one way or another. So, close that door and find the one that's opening. Post away, we're here for you.

Oh jesus, what have we done here?
How the hell did this thread get soo off track?
I am sure at this point in life, you both have a wonderful set of friends and also some fun hobbies. Use them to meet new people through, and I am sure you will find someone to make you happy. Or at least someone to make you breakfast.
