2 Year Anniversary in Philly

mc222, and others from Philly --

Can you recommend a restaurant (kinda fancy) for me and my girl to celebrate our 2 years together?

And, suggestions for what to do while in town? We both graduated Delaware and spent the day after graduation in Philly just to get away because everyone was depressed that we graduated, so we want to relive the fun we had together that day.

So we'll hit South Street, and Penn's Landing.. Shall we go sightseeing? Maybe rollerblading around the Schkuyl (sp -- not even close)? I think I'll get tickets to the Phillies that Saturday too.

Suggestions?

Italian at 3rd and Market, Pizzicato's.

Too bad your not doing it on a Friday, first Friday is a good time, little crowded with good weather, but great.

Maybe some history in the city, or maybe even a place to eat near Rittenhouse Square park. I like Bleu, but not exactly really fancy.

If you like sushi and such go to Moroitmoto's, make reservations first.

I am sure some other people can recommend other places to eat. Also, know what kind of food you want to eat before making a decision.

We can go on a Friday too.. I haven't really decided. What's First Friday? Italian is always good, but my girl loves Sushi.. I don't love it, but I'll give it a try if you know of an awesome place... Why Moroitmoto's? Just really good sushi?

pompeii on walnut street, between 11th and 12th ... great food, or La Veranda on Delaware Ave/Columbus Blvd - also a great place - and romantic -- ask to sit UPSTAIRS. LaFamiglia, on Front Street, right above Market St -- (my buddy owns the place) they also have a little HOTEL there -- would complete the night.

Damn, there's so many good restaurants in Philly, I could go on for days !

^^^I have never ever eaten at Pat's, if I do I would hope to die soon afterwards.

I have eaten at Geno's for years, and a couple times at Tony Lukes.

First Friday is when all the galleries in old city are open to the public, if I remember correctly.

Morimoto's only because it is the original iron chef. Probably have awesome sushi as well.

But there are plenty of great things to eat in the city. I enjoy Pizzicato for Italian, used to have a Bosnian girl with blonde hair down her back, awesome body...
