simple question for guys... is it possible for you to be completely "just friends" with a girl and have zero attraction to her? or are you generally attracted on some level to girls you are friends with?

i keep hearing different things about this kinda stuff... just tryin to get a general idea of what the real story is.

i only have 2 female friends that i am not attracted to in one way or another. One girl i date for a long time when i was 15, didnt talk to her for several years, then over the last 3 years we have been great friends. The other i find kind of annoying and she listens to lots of country music so i have no feelings towards her.

ive been real good friends with this one girl for like 4 yrs now. she has always been i guess u could say "infatuated" with me. shes a real cool girl, and guys hit on her all the time, but i dont have a physical attraction to her cause shes not my type.

but its easy to maintain a relationship like this without having an attraction, if u dont have an attraction in the first place.

Ive cant think of a time where ive ever been just friends with a girl and had zero attraction to her. I think it stems from the simple reality that: girls i find unattractive bore me. End result, i lose the desire to hang out with the girls im not attracted to and the frienship kind of desolves.

In the end, i end up with only friendships with girls that i wouldnt mind hooking up with. I dont plan it that way, its just more fun to hang with a girl that im attracted to so the others just kind of fade away,
