The Prime Rib in DC is good - but it has a dresscode

Even if you are wearing a fine suit, they won't let you wear the ears?

We've got one of those in Providence, RI... I've always wanted to go, but never have. I know alot of the bigwigs (ala current convict and ex-mayor of providence Buddy Cianci) used to eat there alot, so I figured it must be good...

I've been to some low end steak joints (i.e. no dress code) like the "Texas Roadhouse" and "Longhorn Steakhouse" that aren't that bad... If I don't want to cook, and want a cheao steak, it fits the bill...

Hmmm... I need to find a women who is worthy of an establishment like The Capitial Grille to take there

<- Thinks there are too many people here who haven't read Alton Brown's books, namely "I'm Just Here for the Food".

On a side note, what is the right way to clean and season a cast iron pan? And are pans with a baked enamel finish bad in any way?

I can't believe there's a 9 page thread about steak. That cracks me up...

I'm not big on beef, but a good filet is my fav. Hubby is a former chef and his favorite is the prime rib. I guess the fat surrounding the meat gives it good flavor. He made me try it and the taste was good, but I'm a texture person and I couldn't handle the "raw" feel of a med-rare piece of meat. I cut the fat off of chicken--that's how crazy I am...
