I had some left over fish fry that I decided to warm up in the office microwave.

I think people are a little upset with me.

you're on crack

put one in the microwave for about 15 seconds.... the cheese melts just a little bit and they're delicious. Just because it doesn't look good doesn't mean it's not good.

if they are. My friend/neighbor dropped them off last night saying they had extra.

Cold they were only ok. But I got sick of them after eating 2 of the 5 I had.

Today, I tried a new place called Gourmet Burgers. Being a burger lover, I thought I would be impressed. First impression on walking in, I couldn't tell what to do. There were some tables and chairs and a counter with a board over it displaying pictures of food, but no prices. No sign that said "seat yourself" or "order here" or anything.

At the counter, the lady asked if I was picking up or dining in, to which I confirmed I was eating in. She picked up a menu and led me to a table. This was my first time there, so she explained a little about their food. They make stuffed burgers, where the toppings are not on top, but stuffed inside the meat. At this point I almost said "no thanks" and walked out, but figured I'd be daring for once. I ordered a cheeseburger that only had the option of swiss cheese. I'm even further from my comfort zone now.

In the time it took me to get my food, 7 people in 3 different parties came in and left because they got no service. Granted there were only two people there: the cook and the everything-else person. The lady that helped me was telling people it would take at least 25 minutes to get their food. There was a takeout order of about 5 meals being prepped when I came in, and one table seated before me. The party of 3 after me waited 15 minutes to get their drinks.

Right on time, 25 minutes later, I got my stuffed burger and fries. There were few enough fries to count. There were 20. The burger meat was incredibly seasoned. By incredible, I mean "Holy shit there's a lotta seasoning in this meat". Turned off by the massive non-meat flavor in my burger, coupled with globs of swiss cheese oozing from the center of the patty, I left it half uneaten.

As I paid for my order, the lady asked how my meal was. I said it wasn't what I was expecting and that the meat was too seasoned for my taste. She looked disappointed and I said "But I wish you well", the nicest way I could say "I'm never coming here again." She seemed grateful, and I left Gourmet Burgers with a bad taste in my mouth.

This place will be closed in a month. Understaffed, overpriced ($10+ for my meal), and a very unique take on a common meal. A bad recipe.

I actually haven't eaten anything but a nutty bar today. I might grab me some Checkers later tonight. They run some decent specials there.

I commend you for eating so many veggies every day. They're yummy - as are fruit.

I haven't had Taco Bell in months, so I got fully loaded nachos and a beef gordita... Never had a Gordita before but I like it. I thought the nachos would be a lot better though.

Haven't had a soda in a long time either, but I can't resist a Baja Blast.
