seaweed salad

How do you make japanese seaweed salad?

The fresh seaweed I see from the super market doesn't look remotely like those in the seaweed salad.

Is it really made with seaweed or is it just called seaweed but there is no seaweed?

Something like head cheese... it is not really "cheese". or Soy Milk that it is not really milk.

The dry seaweed doesn't look like the one in the seaweed salad either.

The one in the salad looks jelly.

The dry one is dark and thick.

hmmm.... now I am hungry...

You probably have to go to a Asian Supermarket to get the real deal.
