I use a slow cooker when BBQ season is over, i make a lot of heavy stews, baby back ribs, and chicken that just falls apart when you touch it in heavy spices

anyone here do that too?

grilling season never ends for me. We cook all year around on ours. Its a natural gas grill so no tanks to ever refill either. We use the slow cooker year round as well.

I don't have a slow cooker, just a dutch oven.

Chili, stew. Very easy..

Set stove on low and leave.

Done!

Its too spicy for some reason. I'm going to let it mellow in the fridge and see if that will take the edge off.

Macaroni, fvck, I know I'm from Canada eh, but give me some credit, we don't put pasta in chili. Steak, tomato, onion, green pepper, beef consumme, chilli pepper, chili powder, cayenne, tobasco, salt. No macaroni. The glowing is from the plutonium, I use just a few grams to keep it from going bad.

My wife is starting a Chicken Fricot tonight, its an Acadian stew. Its a little on the bland side, which is odd since most cajun food is derived from Acadian recipes. Maybe that's the real reason they all left Canada for Louisiana?
