As for the MGS4 deal, You're paying $40 to upgrade 40GB of memory and rumble abilities. Well worth it if you were getting MGS4 anyways.

Aight peeps, I just bought a PS3(40G). What's the 1st 'gotta have' game would ya'll recommend? I got a 360(2 1/2 years), Wii(1 1/2 years), and a PS2(go's to my son now!), also. So I'm talking PS3 exclusive only.

Who am I?
It depends on the type of games you are into. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is a great adventure game if you're into that. It can be extremely difficult at times though, just a warning.

Yeah I heard Uncharted was a great game and will look fantastic on your HDTV. I don't think there's a re-release of Ninja Gaiden on the 360. Obviously part 2 comes out soon but Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a very good but challenging game. And if you don't want to wait GT5 Prologue.

PS3 plugs into YouTube
Ask any marketing exec, and they'll say viral marketing is the Holy Grail for generating buzz around a product. Seeding word-of-mouth buzz isn't a particularly easy feat, but the Google-owned video-sharing site YouTube has proven to be fertile ground.
As indicated in a report by Japanese business news daily Nikkei Net (subscription required), Sony may be looking to cash in on the viral effect with its latest addition to the PlayStation 3's feature set. Sony Computer Entertainment announced today in Japan that YouTube video uploads could now be integrated into PlayStation 3 games, "a first for home game systems," according to Nikkei.
The first title to make use of the functionality will be Japanese PlayStation Network title Mainichi Issho, according to the report. Based on Sony Japan's Toro franchise, Mainiche Issho is a free-to-download casual game, and players will be able to record the in-game action for posting on YouTube.
[UPDATE] Responding to GameSpot's request for comment, a Sony representative confirmed the YouTube integration is now available in all regions. As noted by Nikkei, SCE is handing out the development software to various studios, and it's up to individual developers to decide whether to offer it in their games," according to the Sony representative. YouTube's API blog has more information on the deal.

Found out something new about my PS3. If you press the "PS" button on the controller, whether it is plugged in to the USB or not, it will turn on the system (provided the power cord is plugged in and the switch in the back is turned on).

I never thought I'd use the PS3 as a web browser, but since my computer's down, and about 4-5 of the buttons on mt Treo's aren't working... I've had to break out the PS3 out of storage and hook it up for the internet... and also, the local Blockbuster finally started carrying Blu Ray movies... but until MGS4 comes out... it's still not much of a gaming console for me...

new firmware update to v2.40
includes in-game XMB, you can play your own music in-game (if the game supports it) and a trophy system (like 360's achievements but better?)
