I did a casual search online and from everything I've read, to get Pure White Character tendency, I need to play online. I'm not all that keen with that.
And I'm on my break with the game now. My guy is sorta a magic-wielding semi-tank. Still can't take too many hits but the guy is plenty strong with the right weaponry equipped in a melee fight. Magic-wise, not bad esp. with the spells I use regularly.
Very very good game. I've had a good year of gaming starting with FF7R, TLoU2, GoT, and now this. That's some mega platinum-class gaming.
Thanks for the insistence that I get DS, Doomie.

Yeahhh...I know. I should look up my saved game and port it into the PS5 since BB -- the base game itself is a PS+ freebie. I just saved Boleteria a few times, you know. I need a break!

TBH, I don't use my shield too much other than to block arrows and spells being shot at me. The one I use the most is the Adjudicator's shield because of the HP rejen...so, it's more for healing than anything. My protection in melee fights are strictly via rolling which is something from BB, thankfully.
Hopefully these guys continue rolling out From's apps on the PS5. Dark Souls next!

I had purchased a 4k TV recently (LG CX 55) and so, well, had to play this game to see how it looks (yeah, it's pretty)...So, as part of playing again, I've looked into how to change a world into Pure Black tendency...
I was able to reverse the "polarity" of the first world (Boleteria) by reading online how to do so (you have to suicide, return to Nexus and turn back to living by using a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes, return to the same world, suicide and repeat until the eye for the world turns black with small red specs) and gone exploring. Ran into lots of Black Phantoms and the enemies are way harder. Ah well, gaming continues.
I'll try to get all the Ceramic Coins then.

So, the Pure Black World mode has some interesting characteristics. The enemies are way harder but consequently, generate more $$$...there are heaps of Black Phantoms everywhere. I've run into some NPCs that were nice and now, well, in a fighting mood. The drops are impressive...Scirvir dropped this neat magic object that no longer requires me to carry 2 items to do Miracles AND Magic. It does both! I will try to switch into Pure Black for my 2 dreaded stages: mudpit and the tower. But, I need to cough up the courage.

On another run-through since well, I have 16 Ceramic Coins and apparently, I can nab 13 per run-through. So, I'll easily meet the 26 needed to get that damn Rusted Key.
I'm never going to quit this game.
And oh, @Doom878 , I ported over my saved game of Bloodborne and have it on the PS5 now. I guess I'll play some BB soon too (I did for about 45 minutes the other day) but man, time to get re-acquainted with the mechanics again!

Got the Rusted Key last night and the sekrit armor.
Wow, getting the 26 coins overall was not easy but I did it!
Just the final stage against the False King awaits in Boletaria. I also did not achieve Pure Black character tendency in this game. That is the last "frontier". I also have not invaded anyone's game as a Phantom and so, did not obtain the giant turban headgear.

It took me awhile to get any semblance of my old skillz back. I died alot. The mechanics are totally different than DS too...so, after getting used to the latter despite getting good at the former, I had to unlearn the latter to play BB. Dafuq is wrong with these sadists?

Finally booted up the game and played an hour or so. Man time flew. I managed to create my knight, get one-shotted by the tutorial boss, and unlock the first gate walk back shortcut. Time for bed Felt good to stretch out those Fromsoft muscles. Proud to say didn't die after the tutorial.

And I didn't touch it this weekend Too much stuff going on with the kids and gf. I think tonight's the night.
I used the Claymore on my first playthrough. I would like to do all the NPC quests but I need to find a quick guide for that. Just been busy a hell.

Wow man Phalanx is so much faster vs the original. I ate like 10 grasses to beat him. The rust is real but at least I got him first try. Forgot you can use fire to make it easier
So I didn't kill the NPC after freeing him. How do I get the Mausoleum Key?

Don't kill him. He'll give it to you later.

And yeah, you should've used fire against the boss.

I mean, you COULD kill him but...wait. He's worth dealing with throughout the game IMO.

You should be okay. You'll see him again later in your quests. I would urge you to find a way to reach the storm world soon so you can level up easily with the skeletons.
