Yeah there is a grove I stumbled upon with the unicorn that was being chased by 3 minotaurs. I killed one but those other fools ran off and I couldn't catch them.
Thanks for the info bout enchanting, I'm gonna look into that now. I should have soul trapped that frost atronach that took me forever to kill yesterday, im sure I coulda used it for something good. I have a sigil stone laying around but will probably wait for better armor before using it.
I don't want a spoiler but I've found around 12 or so oblivion gates, are they a part of the storyline in terms of quests or can I just go in there and take them all out? I've been wanting to just go in guns a blazing but didn't want to ruin the story for later.
Does anyone also know a person that I can go to to train me in speechcraft? Also which town is the mages guild that has a person that trains in restoration? All the ones I've been to seem to train in destruction and alchemy mostly.

Went on a tear tonight, did all the shrine quests. Vaermina was a bitch, especially since im level 20 now so harder enemies. I can't believe there was actually a single room with 2 frost atronochs, 2 clanfears, and a daedroth...Reloading is a pita.
Now I'm afflicted with vampirism and since I'm playing a semi good character gonna have to find the cure instead of sticking with it.

so i downloaded the game a few days ago and i predict a steep decline in my grades this quarter. i'm surprised that the game runs smoothly on my 6600gt (though i had to downgrade the res to 800x600 with shadows/reflections off). Picking up my friend's 6800gt in a couple of days just to play the game the way it's meant to be played. All i can say about the game is wow. Dont know why i never got into Morrowind since i'm having so much fun with this one.

I wish in the release notes it mentions fixing pc freezes. When I exit the game, sometimes when I try to play it later and continue the game the whole pc freezes and I have to reboot. Very annoying and random.

Yes wayy too addicting
I finally went after the main storyline this week after doing pretty much everything else. I'm at the end of the game now, I hate when I get to this point after the epic journey because I always want more.

2) I have an Ati x1600XT and it runs the game just fine. Get the LATEST drivers from www.ati.com They are optimized for Oblivion

Anyone want to buy the 360 version from me for $30 including shipping?
I want the PC version... I just can't get used to the controls and my PC is much more powerful.

when ur a vamp... you can travel in the day time as long as you have fed on human blood..... also if the guy wont talk to you, try a charm spell/script that should make him like you enough to talk to you

Yeah, Vampirism is a bit different in Oblivion. Before, such as in Morrowind or Daggerfall, you were either a full-fledged uber-vampire or not. In Oblivion, it varies by how many days you've gone without feeding on a sleeping person. If its been less than a day, you'll be ok in the sunlight.

its not to bad to be a vampire...since the game gets pretty hard pretty fast, i figure if i run into a fight i just cant handle, i'll "morph" into the ober-vampire, and decimate the bitches

Tip and perhaps a bit of a spoiler below. You will want to read if you decide to do the cure.
If you decide to do the cure quest for vampirism you will be asked to get a number of ingredients. Whatever you do save before you give any of them to the person so you can reload if you have to. Make sure you don't give bloodgrass last because there is a bug where the option to give bloodgrass disappears making the cure impossible to achieve. What I did was get all the ingredients and then gave bloodgrass first to get it done and I was able to complete it.

i just found a major loop hole in advancing my skills!
i had an alteration skill of 62.... i bought an 'open hard lock' spell which needed an alteration skill of 75....
so i took one of my pre existing alteration skills ('open average lock') went up to a "hard" door, and threw the spell as many times as i could at the door (low and behold my Alteration Level started to go up) each time i ran out of magika i would wait one hour and have it fully replenished, then continue throwing the spell at the door. It took me all of five minutes to raise from 62 to 75 alteration skill (making me an Expert of Alteration )
so i started thinking, i can do this with everything, if you spend about ten minutes consistently casting any spell, the category which it applies to (i.e: mysticism, alteration, destruction, etc) will go up.
btw question: if you're a vampire, do vampires not attack you? and can u still cash in by killing them and selling their dust to the order of the virtuous blood

I created a spell at the altar in the arcane sanctuary which healed me and only used like 4magika. I was able to constantly cast it with never running out of mana to raise my restoration.
Another thing I did was find a place in a house where there are people in a nearby room. I would but up against he wall, go into sneak mode and then walk into the wall. Come back later and level up. Being a warrior with 100% sneak, 30%+ chamelon makes you almost unstoppable later. I was able to sneak attack most people without them even seeing me. I could have just did 100% chameleon on the armor but I used all those for boosting my STR, END, and AGI.

you can increase every skill, for example magic skills, like mysticism, alteration, destruction, ecetera... becomming an expert in each, as long as you dont sleep you wont actually level up ... and you never really need to sleep. i raised all my specs up pretty high before ever raising my actual level beyond the 5th

thats true, but isnt it better to have expert of most everything, THEN level up, and face the creatures....
i've come across more then a few encounters taht have been on the verge of me being impossible of beating because my skills werent high enough
