Mostly photo processing and flight sims.
He's like me -- build an insane computer and then keep it for 5-6 years before building a new one, so I try to future proof it a bit.

Got it built, but not quite done. Somehow I missed ordering the second video card.
I've got that coming plus a couple of cables to make the SATA routing neater, a carrier for the SSD, and a different case top + fan to balance out the cooling (right now it has 2 intake and 1 exhaust fan, adding another exhaust).
Right now it's sitting at a 7.3 / 7.9 on the Windows Experience score.

Give me a little insight as to why two video cards instead of one double of the two? I need to get a better card than the GTS 240 that I current have.

He runs some heavy duty flight sims and preferred to go with two mid-range cards rather than blow twice as much on one of the very high end cards. He can run the cards independently or enable CrossFireX and have both do graphics processing for a single output.
He's also planning to run four monitors and one card doesn't have enough outputs.

nice.
i want to build an i7 setup, but my current core 2 duo setup is good enough for what i do.
im getting a 5.8 on windows experience index.
everything is 5.9, the only thing that is 5.8 is my HD.
maybe ill hold off for 1-2 more years. i think 5-6 years old for my current setup should be good.

Great setup, so what games have you played on it already and how fast do they run?
I recently just got a new PC, here are my specs:
Core i7 950
9gig DDR3
750HD
Ati 4650 1gig DDR2
I got it stock like that, it was a refurbish HP system that I got for 800 bucks!
