Only two games I ever got into were Call Of Duty & Call of Duty 2. What would you guys recommend that have similar game play. I am in the process of spending a ungodly amount of $$$ on a new PC and looking for something to take my mind off the empty bank account.

 

What specifically do you mean by "similar gameplay?" Just that the game is a first person shooter and/or do you want to remain like the WW II games and not have any sci-fi weapons?

 

I have never really played Call of Duty,.......but Battlefield 2142 is a pretty awesome game. Its a FPS,....work in teams (squads) etc,.....great graphics and gameplay etc. Its all basically online play (you can do single player, but what is the point),.....dunno if you are looking for that or not. A new Expansion is coming out very shortly for it too. I like how you earn different badges and earn higher ranks and get unlocks etc. There are also two different types of maps,......Conquest and Titan Maps. Overall a great game IMO, and worth looking into.

So to get your mind off the large amount of $$ you are spending on your computer, you want to buy games. Wish I could have that mentality Lol.

So, I guess you like first-person war shooters? How about the Battlefield series? Ghost Recon? Rainbox Six? etc.

Call of Duty series is great, I have defeated them all, definatly addicting. they're even better to if you have watched the Band of Brothers series because many of the missions are the same as what these real warriors battled in, it gave me much more respect for the challenges they faced.

I'm currently working on Unreal Tournament, my buddies got me started with it, i must say its a different style due to all the cheesy futuristic weapons and shit, but its still fun when playing in LAN parties.

 

counter strike source if you havent played it... i love that game and cant find myself ever getting bored with it... untill they release a new version

 

CS:Source is more patience and strategy if your into that sort of thing....
