Are there going to be games that only run on Xbox One X or will Xbox One still be able to play everything? Is it considered a new generation or just an evolution of the current?

One games will play on both the X and the upcoming Scorpio. Same for the backwards compatible Xbox 360 games.
As for 4k.
The X will play games in 4k if they were made in 4k. So nothing currently will be 4k on the X.
Scorpio will upgrade current games to 4k even if they arent made in 4k. Obviously this could create some pixelation issues on older titles on larger screens.
Both would obviously require 4k TVs.
Top games I saw today at E3 were
Lawbreakers
Beyond Good and Evil
Anthem
Pokemon RPG
Destiny 2
Far Cry 5
Spider-Man
and a few others.
Only got a chance to play Far Cry.
Tomorrow I plan on trying to RSVP a spot at the Activision booth for the Destiny 2 strike and mission gameplay then also the Fallout 4 VR demo.

Sorry I messed up my console names.
Replace what I said about the X for the S and what I said about Scorpio is the X (I totally didnt realize they renamed the Scorpio the One X and meant S when I was saying X).

lol I was going to say!!! i dont even follow games and this is my first time hearing about the xbox console, but even I knew Scorpio = one X
it's far too expensive for a casual gamer(me) and if i wanted too, i would just build a gaming rig...as then it would be a full fledged PC and I could do more things on it than just game.
but the cross platform "exclusives" is great news for gamers!!(at least the way i see it..that way I can play PC games without having to buy a new console everytime)

The Spiderman game looks great. Too bad PS4 exclusive but I'm covered. Looking forward to new God of War and Gran Turismo but I'll wait for their prices to plummet.
If Xbox S gets Dolby Vision (no not Atmos) then I'd rather get that model for 4k discs in the future. Xbox X is too much scratch to be a nearly dedicated UHD disc player.

Perhaps not of interest to everybody, but the trailer is a bit amusing as it seems to make fun of certain people
