Buying a Wii tomorrow
I used to work part time at EB Games, and my good friend there has put aside a Wii for me.
I need some recommendations on games. It will be for me (obviously) my wife, and my son, when he gets old enough to stop drooling.
I will be getting the system, an extra controller and nunchuck thingy, and Zelda. I might also get Wii Games since it comes with a free controller, so I'll just purchase the nunchuck.
Anything else you can recommend for both of us to enjoy instead of her watching me blow people up or me watching her try to round up stupid little critters?
Thankee

red steel is cool, but it's definitely kind of weird controls, and some people like em, others hate em.
Excite truck is a pretty fun racing game, but if you are any good at video games, you'll beat it pretty quick.

I own Trauma Center, Zelda, and Madden 07. Wii Sports (game that comes with it) is alright, so is Wii Play(the one with the extra remote)
If you like sports games, definately check out Madden. It is pretty interesting to actually have to act like you are passing the ball to make a play.
Zelda was good, Red Steel I didn't really have much interest in after I found out that there are certain points you HAVE to use whatever weapon the computer chooses for you.
Trauma Center was ok, nothing more spectacular than the DS version IMO.
I've heard Elebits was a good game, and depending on how much patience you have, Call of Duty 3 and DragonBall Z...

dragon ball z is so fun to play i hardly play my other games zelda, red steel, wii sports, wiiplay, ssx blur(still in plastic) granted im a dbz fan but most dbz games suck azz but this game is a great fighting game period. the only downfall of dbz imo is it has a very steep lerning curve but it makes up for it with the training missions. and the difficulty is either extreamly easy or extreamly hard. red steel is fun but kinda slow in the beginning.. Zelda is great and holds true to the zelda trend of getting better every time although im not that far in it. Wii sports is fun till you play a real game and wii play is good for the free controler and the billards game is pretty nice comming from someone who is halfway decent at pool
