I preordered months ago.. I wouldn't even be mad if the street date pushed back. It looks fucking amazing.

While I don't think it would be impossible to get the games to play on them, I do think it would lead many to believe just how much more the new consoles would allow Rockstar to achieve & leaving GTA V looking a bit bleak in what the PS4/X-One are capable of
As for the trailer, it makes the next 2 months even harder to wait. Just pre-ordered my Collectors Edition the other day as well.

I wish Rockstar would tell us if this will be released for next gen or not!! since I will be switching over to ps4 from 360.

I would guess spring. I'm sure they're pushing for a Nov/Dec release, but I would guess some time in April.

I love all the customization.
And the cars are starting to look like their real life counterparts instead of GTA 4's Zondagini and shit lol.

I want the Xbox One but it's hard to justify the price with dat college student income and I'm not going to buy GTA5 for 360 when I'll be getting a One eventually

Goodbye.
Well, seeing how Rockstar hasnt' announced any plans for GTA5 to be on next-gen anytime soon, you can either wait until that happens and then get your Xbox One then...which might be cheaper at that time, or just get it for your 360 now and enjoy GTA5 with everyone else.

Don't care what I get for pre-ordering...I'm not doing it for spiffs, I'm doing it to make sure I can walk in the store day one and walk out with a copy. Gamestop around here doesn't do a good job of ordering extras for walk-ins . Not worried about the money, either. I buy all of my games used, well after their release date, except for GTAs; I get those day one. My net cost for used games after selling them is usually $5-$10...I can live with having one with a net cost of $30-40 every few years.

GTA 5 isn't going to be released on the next gen consoles. And all the signs so far have shown that the Xbox One isn't backwards compatible, so there's no way to play GTA 5 on it.

Has it been confirmed that it won't be released on the One?

As of right now, yes, because it's not developed for the next-gen. Rockstar's latest word is that they will continue focusing on the current gen. & when the time comes, then they will see what players want.
Then there were the articles about whether not releasing GTA V on the next gen. would hurt sales, which Rockstar said it could actually go either way; no GTA V on Xbox One/PS4, no potential buyers hoping to grab the console for that title. They were confident in the end that the hype between their title & the next gen. would keep them from affecting each other.
The only hint at the next gen. consoles getting GTA was in reference to what Rockstar already have in mind for GTA Online in regards to locations, items, etc. after the initial release, things that couldn't be done because of the current hardware. It was in no means related to GTA V itself, because GTA Online is something Benzie says will continue to grow & grow, obviously into a period where it will see a Xbox One/PS4 release.
Until then, the unconfirmed PC version is more likely to be out within' a year from now than a Xbox One/PS4 release of V.
"There's not a lot of data out there for us. There's very few games like GTA Online - so we'll play it by ear and see what the consumers want."
Asked again about next-gen, he added: "We'll get the current gen version out first and see what happens in the future."
