When you press down on the D-pad, all three should be visible and if someone is not available, he should be grayed out. If you press down on the D-pad and NOTHING shows up, then it could be broken, or you need to move out of the area and try again. I've noticed a few times where I press down and nothing shows up until I move to a different place.

I see you saved that dude in the gas truck. Immediately after I did, I wished I hadn't...just out of curiosity...so I killed him for good measure. I no longer give the money back to people, either (only did it once)...I found the reward to be lacking compared to the cash.
I love robbing the armored trucks. Went from broke with a pistol to phat stacks and armed to the teeth in no time

.And totally agree with you on the give money back..... I got $2000 back for a woman and she only gave me $200 to keep. So I punched her and took back $1000. Robbing armored trucks is so much harder now, but a $4500 payday is worth it

It's easy to think "do we really need more gaming consoles" such as PS4 etc. etc. or "is console gaming dead" due to mobile gaming etc. This game is showing me that console gaming is very much alive, and there *is* still much progress that can be made. Look at the depth of this game and see it's running on 7-year-old hardware. Imagine what could be possible with the PS4 in a few years with games. Long distance detail is something that comes to mind - things will be more detailed than ever and the framerate won't show signs of stuttering.

I agree. Although I've never thought consoles would be dead, especially to a mobile device. 
This game (or rather GTA 6) running on next-gen consoles will be mind blowing, as if this isn't already haha
I'm truly amazed at how large the map is, seamless loading, incredible detail from close up to distant buildings and mountains and so on. And with all of this, I have yet to see any instances of my frame rate dropping or any lag. The game has only frozen on me twice and that was because the camera phone.
Although this game shows current-gen consoles are still largely capable of handling a game of this scale, we are 8 years out and technology has come so far, it's time for a next gen console, and I think consoles still have a long life ahead of them. I largely look forward to the future of the One and PS4.

Take-Two announced this morning that Grand Theft Auto V generated more than $1 billion in retail sales during its first three days on sale. “We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone,” Take Two noted in its announcement.
"Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. "We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V."
Earlier this week, Rockstar announced that GTA 5 made $800 million in one day. Analysts previously estimated that the game would earn $1 billion in its first month, but it appears they underestimated just how excited people are to visit Los Santos.

I was exploring around and found this awesome single track on the middle east side of the map (near the lighthouse). I rode it up in my modded ducati, the view was epic.
Unfortunately a freaking cougar killed me ass... I rode up it a second time and saw the cougar again and ran it over with the bike.
But it wasn't dead and killed me again
So.... I hopped in my car and drove there, stole a mountain bike and rode all the way up AGAIN. I saw that mofo and popped off a shot with the Mossberg but it got away. I was sneaking around waiting for it with the shotgun in hand when I heard that bastard. I peek around a corner and it was right there and pounced and killed me
I swear I'm going to kill that asshole, teabag it and take a pic of its corpse.

I went to the edge of the map last night. The engine on the boat all of a sudden died, and the boat started sinking fast. I got out and swam to the surface. So now I'm in the water after what was over five minutes of real time driving to this point in a speedboat. I pause, deciding what to do (swim or just reload). Before I can decide, a red blip appears on the radar. Really? Out here? I look at my guy and see a large fin go by. So I start swimming ...Jaws swims around me a few times, and then promptly reaches up and eats me. So there I am, underwater, in Jaws' mouth, with all of my blood in the water around us. That was fun. At least it saved me spending an hour swimming back to shore
