So just wondering if anybody is as excited for this game as I am. Just bought the game, but I have classes until like 1, and the wait is killing me lol. Anybody else planing on buying it and playing it all day like me?

man united are my team, and i always play seasons with them. but it gets to a point where it's too easy.

i like playing with everton and fulham in the premier league. werder bremen for bundesliga, roma for serie, houston for mls, and athletico for la liga.

the big teams are just too easy.

 

So after playing the game i really like the changes they made. Seems much more realistic. Anyone else notice that the game focuses much more on possession and making play develop, rather then just trying for the quick through ball and a runner on goal.

it's weird because they go back and forth on through balls. one year, through balls are easy. the following year, it's impossible.

 

I wish I could get it but to be honest I still havent made it through 09' yet. I think I'm 30 games into the season. Just got wrapped up in too many other games and work. Only get to play 1 day a week...

havent really played fifa after 06 world cup and 07...

i was #1 in the world for two weeks running on world cup... my team was france. and i used argentina if the opponent went with france.

after they changed the mechanics and controls... i lost interest... i still play my 06 and 07 on occasion.

Got this game a few days ago and I think its pretty cool but i find it super hard as I have never played soccer other than in gym class. anybody have this game who wants to give me a few pointers? maybe play a game?

 

Just got this game on PS3 for my bday. I'm liking it so far, though I wish you could design your own team to create the international teams that have been omitted. My favorite team is DC United (born and raised in the DC Metro area and have played soccer since I was five, plus I gotta support US Soccer growth). My PS3 name is decor1

 

i'm in the middle of playing a season. what sucks is that when the squad updates are available after the transfer deadline, my season in progress won't be updated. :thumbsdow

 

I didn't want to start a new thread, but EA's World Cup comes out today. Should I get FIFA 10 or World Cup?

 

depends on what you want.

the world cup game will have only international teams. but they'll have like 199 teams or something like that. even teams that are never in the FIFA games like netherlands, japan, ivory coast, etc.

if you want to play clubs and are okay with limited choices in international teams, get FIFA.

 

Does FIFA 10 have an international tourney? I had FIFA 2006 for PS2 and loved it (club teams) but playing with some internationals was fun too.

 

it does. you can make an international tournament.

it won't be as in-depth as the world cup game, which will let you play the entire world cup campaign from qualifying stages, friendlies, and the actual cup.

though remember, the FIFA game won't have all of the international teams.

 

meh...I could give 2 shits if Ivory Coast etc are not on FIFA 10. If England, Germany, USA are there, then I'm happy. Sounds like FIFA 10 is the one for me

 

yea 90% of the international teams in the world cup game are probably going to be insignificant. it's not like you're going to play as honduras or qatar.

but i'm still glad teams like the ivory coast, netherlands, and japan will be there since i like a lot of their players.

 

It's not that I don't think they're insignificant, it's just that they're not teams I would choose to play with on a video game. I'm going to pick up FIFA 10 today.
