I have no problem with your argument, however I have to point out that the FWD record does not belong to the Cobalt. The Renault MéganeRS R26.R owns that one. That is a factory vehicle with optional tires (that you can get when you purchase the vehicle). The Renault beat the Chevy by just under 6 seconds.

The 5.7 GTOs aren't that fast, but the 6.0s are a totally different story.
Tony, did you happen to see a badge on the lower right side of the trunk lid? That would narrow down what year it is.

Also the 2004 5.7 had single exhaust, and the 05/06 6.0's had dual and hood scoops. Of course anyone could have changed any of the parts out, so who knows. Maybe he meant 09 G8 GTP or GXP?

The G6 is my best friends-wifes car. how sad is that. His 09 chevy truck used to be beat on the long run, but now he put some kind of "super" chip that I can't beat. his governor doesn't slow him down at 95 anymore. Damn it. That was my kill point.

my last race was couple months ago against a orange lotus i dont know which kind it was either elise or exige.
we raced from a light i saw it coming because he was driving like a nut case from before so i switched to tip tronic mode and got ready added lil brake tourque.
the light turned green and he got the lead at first but i slowly caught up and i stayed right beside his rear quarter panel and pulling closer and closer each second slowly but then we both had to let off because of traffic.
and at the next light i got to pull up beside him he gave me a smile and we had a lil conversation and i did ask him if he floored and he told me he did.
but im surprised i hung in with him knowing that his car weighs like half of mine and all i had done to my car was cai and atlp exhaust at the time with a big heavy system in my trunk. i wonder what i would do to him now with all my mods that ive added on lol

On the way home from the meet today, I killed an orange Charger R/T Daytona. The poor guy was trying to play it cool at first with his tint windows, occassionally throwing a glance at my ride. So I tempted him by down shifting into 2nd while rolling at about 30 mph. He tapped the throttle in an attempt to scare me off. I tapped back. Not much to be scared of from a 4 banger right? So he floors it and just leaves me 8 cars behind then waits for me. By this time hes sure that Im scared shitless. So I catch up to him, flash him the "Lets race for money" sign. He rolls down the tints and laughs at me. So at the next light we're lined up, he revs, I open the exhaust up and rev back. The look on his face is priceless ! It said "what tha hell did I just get myself into !" Light turns green, we both take off easy as if there wont be a race. 25mph, he punches it ! I hit the throttle right after he does and close on him and pass him and put 5 cars on him before shutting down at 60mph. He turns off, game over ! Another kill for the 4 banger.

In the last week I lost from a stop light ot a honda bike not sure which, but not by much. Then today I was next to a 08-09 mitsu lancer ralliart that i thought was a grand am at first 
We both took it a little slow off the line then punched it. I chirped tires in 2nd and was able to basically keep right up with him tho he was pulling slightly in second and i had to shut down before 3rd gear(only went up to about 55-60) cause it cuts to 1 lane. Is a stock 0-60 time for the lancer ralliart of 5.4 seem about right? This makes me want a supercharger even more now, car felt weak today for some reason maybe it was the hot weather.
