A Few Runs
About a week ago, I attened a street racing spot right outside Washington D.C. There were some pretty decent cars there ( Corvette Z06s, Cobra Mustangs, BMW M3s, Subaru STIs, and a couple Toyota Supras). It is the best spot I have ever been too. The police will watch us race and drive right past.
The first car I ran was a 2006 Honda Civic Si, manual with a Skunk2 cat-back. The first race we raced from a light. On green we both had pretty good launches and by the top of 3 gear, I had about one car length on him. We raced again from the same light with similar results. We raced one last time, this time it was flagged. I was a little late on the start, this time it was dead even. This was a quick four banger.
The next car was a 2004 Lexus IS 300. It was a stock automatic. We raced twice from a light. Both times i had a almost perfect reaction time. We stayed pretty even until I hit VTEC. Both times i had him by about 2-3 car lengths, by the end of a quarter mile. I was expecting alittle more from the IS.
It was getting late but i wanted too get one more race in before i called it a night.
I found a stock, automatic 2002 Nissan Maxima, that was willing to run me. I knew this one was going to be a tough one. We raced from the light. I got a decent start. By the time i hit forth gear. All i could see was his rear bumper. Suprisingly enough, his girlfriend that rode with him, was reading a book the entire time. I never seen anything like that before.
This was a very interesting night!!!

What year/mods is your CL? Just curious. Nice kills by the way! Still waiting to take on a new Si and a Max would be fun too I'm sure. I'm not surprised by the IS. My buddy used to have a Celica GT-S, first year where the redline was like 8,600, and he took out an IS like it was sitting still.

Yeah, I would love to see my wife's face if I had to tell her this: "Guess what - I got a ticket for drag racing tonight and my car was impounded."
My 12 year old son would probably ask me if I won though!!
