CLS6 VS 3.5 AtimaMT

Ran into a couple of guys on the street tonight in college park driving a 3.5 altima, i know the car had intake and exhaust but I dont know what else. any way they started messing wit me so i decided to see what my stock CL could do agains a modded 3.5. Any how from the jump the CL dug in his shit every race and he never got infront of me till i let off for either a car approaching infront of me or just stoping to play it safe. Im pretty sure top end wise the altima would have pulled past me just because it was modded, but it definately wasnt a match for the stock CLS6 on the bottem end. This whole thing makes me wanna go ahead and order a ice box, lol

hmm all I can say is that out 3 races downshifting into 2nd gear he could never pull away from me, and as i said i kept stopping for cars so no telling what he would have done on top end. Basically its either he cant drive or the CLS6 STOCK is still quicker than a 3.5 modded MT altima.

Which year Altima? trim level?

Stock vs stock, both the CLS6 and 3.5SE 5MT should be fairly even where an Altima SE-R 6MT could edge the CLS6. With an intake (particularly CAI), the VQ35DE in the Altima/Maxima loses a little lowend torque.

Have no clue what year it was be it that it wasnt written on the car. AS you said though those cars do lose some toque cause I was digging in his shit on the jump, I wish we could have raced long enough to see how long it would have took him to pull away

I inquired about which years mainly because officially horsepower levels have been steadily increasing over the lifespan of the 3G Altima....although most believe the HP/TQ levels really have not changed from 02-06. NOTE: There are subtle differences in appearance between the 02-04 and 05-06 Altimas, although they are the same generation.

I didnt honestly look at its appearance to car what year it was, al i needed to see was that it had aftermarket dual exhaust, HIDs and said 3.5. Other than that I was more concered with the exterior features of the road infront of me
