Talking CL Type S vs. Infiniti M35

Last night around 11:45 PM I was driving on I-495. I get off on my exit and out of no where this jerk off in a Infiniti M35 comes up right on my a$$. So at a light we are next each other and we took off . I was doing about 110-120 MPH on a 35 speed limit road (New Hampshire Avenue for those of you that live in MD) We were both right next to each other the whole time. As soon as we approach a red light he backed off and he rolled his window down and he notices that I was a female. I guess it messed with his ego because he made a right turn. Gotta love my Acura!!

110 - 120 MPH on a 35 speed limit road...........

I don't care if you kept up with the Enzo, that was very dumb-ass move. Ppl like you shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Its good to know we can keep up with an M35 but yea def. not smart racing in a 35 mph zone no matter how late it was. Next time take it to the track.

Ps...you won't be calling him a hater when a kid runs out in front of you and you lose your car and are sitting in jail.

I was running off of adrenaline. And plus the road that I was on NO ONE goes the speed limit. Everyone is usually going 55+. (New Hampshire Avenue, for those that know Maryland) It's a six lane road. Three up and three going down. I am careful when I drive. I wouldn't be stupid to hit someone. I know my limit. Thanks for the advise!

Ugh, people just love to criticize others for speeding when I'm sure they've never done it themselves, huh? Pot calling the kettle black. Anyway, nice encounter, but in the future you might not want to say what the speed limit was because it's just going to get you in trouble with all the super responsible non-speeders on here.

sh*t I speed just like the next guy or girl. I was just pointing out 110 in a 35 mph not the smartest thing. If I'm going to speed do it on the freeway not residential. Anyways...enough drama. Back to the origin of the post....I give babyacura props on her keepin up w/ a M35 I know my auto prob wouldn't handle it. Good Job

Ha, I get your point about speeding in a 35mph zone. But if you notice she said it was almost Midnight.

I don't know about you, but I don't think that many kids would be running around the streets at that time.

Well, all I can say is good kill, and they do make cars to go 160 on the spedometer for a reason so why not use the power the car has.....

The M must have been modded also. A Cl with headers and six speed should be a tough car to beat.

Sorry to have to say but with a gal behind the wheel the result is going to be somewhat skewed...

Good looks beating that M35. I would have done the SAME thing. When somebody who thinks they are hot $shit rides my ass and then tries to pass . . . not happening!

I am just shocked, however, that you went that fast in a 35 MPH zone . . . and so many pansies have popped up in this forum. All everyone wants to talk about is mod mod mod, speed speed speed, HP HP HP and then they don't wanna use it.

Rock that Type S strong as I am, up in here in CT. We should meet up and speed together so everyone can hate on us both, haha.

LOL@ kids being out and getting run over at midnight. Ya I think anybody who has mods is just trying to justify self righteousness by acting like they never use them. Good call on at least condoning safety, but don't chastise others for it when you may have played around before. That fast in that low of a speed limit is definitely not smart as far as popo as concerned. At least if you are going 90 in a 65, it doesn't look that fast comparatively speaking (38% over the limit). OTOH 110 in a 35 is 214% over the limit! The most dangerous part is if someone pulls out from a side oad going 35...

Was it the M35x or just regular? The x are AWD so obviously more drivetrain loss, but the regs are 280/270 yet weigh over 3800lbs. 20/35 advantage to M, yet almost 400 lb advantage to CL. One thing to note though, their AT's do not have nearly as much drivetrain loss as our AT's, so the disparity between AT/MT is less. Do you have headers or not? If not then that race sounds right on, but I still might have expected the CL o eek it out. I would think headers + 6MT would be good enough FTW, but the VQ35 is no slouch. Just checking because I haven't seen a whole lot of racing posts from you, you did take the CL all the way to redline right? That is important if you have headers, and also shifting times because chances are his AT may have shifted faster than your MT.

06 M35 according to cars.com - 0-60 6.43, 1/4 mile 15.02@94.39

even tho the thread is from May...nice kill. I wonder how many girls are on here driving Cl-S's/are on here that would hit 110 in a 35 lol? While I also can't condone that...I have done 140 in a 45 (when I was younger and dumber) so I can't say anything.

Wow I hadn't checked this thread in a minute. Blah blah blah on the speed limit. ANYONE that lives in MD knows New Hampshire Avenue. It's a six lane road.(3 up 3 down) and EVERYONE speeds down that road. Average speed is 55 but again it was 12 midnight!!! I don't go 100+ during the daytime.

I can only drive stick. I hate automatic transmission and since thread started the fastest I've gone in my CLS is 140mph.

Just read over the thread, and I must say the reactions to the first post are very entertaining. I guess next time its better to just say "I kept up with an M35 from one light to another" to avoid all that garbage, lol.
