CL-S VS 05 sentra SE-R
one of my friends got a new sentra and put in a CAI and was dying to race me but i always said no cuz i knew it would be pointless but today i was bored so we went at it. We raced like 5 times cuz the lil fuker thought he would be faster the next race and the next.... anyway first time was over a bridge about 1/3 mile long... like if i floor it from the begining to about half way or less you can hit 120... anyway we started from a stop at the light. (i had a box in my trun bout 40-50 lbs and he had a lil skinny kid 120ish) Before the light turned green he starts reving it up cuz he has a manual and wen its green he floors it. I couldnt hear anything but his tires and i thought i was skiding out too so i let it go a little. About 20mph he has maby 1 car on me and i floor it even though it hooped a little. Around 50-60 i start pulling realy hard and at 100 i fly by him until i hit 120 where i had about 1 car on him. Then we did it from a roll about 30 mph. I threw it down to 1 and floored it. It burned out untill i hit second (my tires were at 29 psi and they are not too good either stock ones) and we shut it down at 80... i was infront of him the whole time and in the end had like 2 cars on him. The rest of the races were about the same. He always pulls off the line faster then me tho cuz he is so light except for one time where we were both even. I need a tip tho.. he always skids out when he takes off and i dont, i take off like a fukin old man so i wount skid out... should i skid out in the begning..would that help me or what.. and i dont mean burn out for like 3 seconds...

my buddy has a ser that runs 14.3 with I/H/E/, he also relocated the knock sensor to somwhere on the intake manifold. he said that knocked off nearly 7 tenths off his 1/4 times

Sentra SE-R's are super fast little pocket rockets. I almost bought one but got a 1.8S special edition (automatic) instead, so i could give it to my wife and now I have a Black on Black CL-S, which is lovely, but I still look at SE-R's cause its something about the power they carry in such a small frame.

he said there is a plug somewhere on the back of the intake manifold. that it fits perfectly into.
he graduated from fsu last year and i haven't talked to him in a while.

I used to own a 2002 Spec-V before I got the CL-S. I had AEM C/A intake on it and dogged the shiat out of the car. It is quick but lacks top end. After 80 its dead weight. I raced my friends RSX-S all the time (He had intake only) and he would always take me by 90mph and keep pulling. The sentra I had only weighed 2800 pds and has massive torque for a little car but is VERY hard to launch properly.
Keep in mind that the Spec-V has about 10 more hp crank than the regular Se-R and slightly better suspension.
Someone mentioned a Spec-v with I/H/E pulling 14.3....that is a very UNTYPICAL time for just those mods. He must be a damn good driver to get that time with track conditions in his favor.
I use to be a member of the "thevboard.com" Spec-V community.

The knock sensor mod that someone above mentioned was a subjective mod. Meaning the knock sensors on those cars are very sensitive but relocating the sensor doesnt improve hp but just helps reduce the retarded timing pulls the car did. So him saying the sensor relocation helped him with 7 tenths in his quarter mile means that all his previous runs he must have been knocking. That or its just a coincidence.
By the way, I recently ran my CL-S (auto w icebox, headers) with an S2000 with icebox and I stayed at his bumper the entire time from a 30 roll to 90. I will be damned if a Spec-V with just I/H/E will run similar from a roll. I remember when my spec-v with intake ran into a stock S2000, that S2000 ate my ass for breakfast, lunch and, dinner.
Everyone please dont take my posts as "hating" the spec-v, i used to own one and miss the "fun factor" i had with the car, but they arent as fast after 50mph as people like to make them out to be.

well i know he was beating me over and over. with that ser. my car sucks in the 1/4 though. for some reason i am running a slow 1/8 miles with a lower speed, but gaining 23.8 mph between 1/8 and 1/4 trap speed.

lol over here in Philly I got to New Jersey a lot to trap my CL-P(i miss this car), my GS-T, and soon to trap my civic. I seen so many Sentra Spec-V run 14s and I only seen this one clean White Sentra that ran a 13.9 all day long.
