CL 3.0 vs. Tiburon v6
Well I was hanging with my friends at the sonic and this guy rides up in a tiburon(v6) and wants to race so i was like "uh ok".So there is a bridge right there and we take it over the bridge from a rolling 40 and he pulls on me real hard and gets like 2 1/2 car lentghs on me. three different time this happened. when i asked heim what he had all he said was i/h/e and some goodies. now it was obviously not a forced induction kit and was not nitrous. can anyone tell me how this guy put me to shame. I went home hanging my head and what made it worse is that they recorded the race from inside the car.

no i was in D3 and i only have intake and exhaust but damn. He wouldnt tell me what else he had besides I/H/E but im sure it could have been port and polish or something like that because he told me he worked for a shop in brandon.but i must give him credit,he ate me alive. i figure with headers i might have had a little better top end run because we took it to liek 110 but still i know i would have lost.

40 from a roll is teh bottom of second gear , that's a terrible place to start.
and with the exuast you lose a tone of low end tq, and with as long as these gears are you need your power to be as evenly distributed as possible.

Tell me about it. what makes it worse is that the passenger is his car recorded the wholde damn thing and i was also rolling with some of my friends so i pretty much felt like shit and went home after that. But hey atleast i know my car will outlast his because they have no where near the quality that acura does soooo maybe i see him again one day broke down and maybe giggle to myself....just a little....i know its wrong but who cares.

actually my aunt has a tibby v6 6spd man. and I got on it and it's pretty quick, although it looks a lil wierd, I like it but i wouldn't buy one. Like ^^ he said it is a better feeling at the end of the day knowing you drive a classy, somewhat fast car. Not one that looks like a little bug.

yea was it a 6spd??? its honestly no surprise that you lost to one of those, dont get down on your self, new tiburon v6's are legit.
and dont let the kid bullshit you, i doubt he had anything else, the aftermarket didnt exactly catch on to much to the new tiburon scene.

I remember running a couple of modded Tibby's. They are quicker than everyone thinks. I ran one with basic bolts ons and tied him all the way. Neither of us pulled on eachother. The other two I ran I barely beat. This was back in the day when I only had I/H/P/E and a VAFC2 tuned.

hey cocoa. remember that i'm the first 2GCL you get to smoke. you said you would go to the meet if you're still in SoCal. maybe mad Mike can join me on my way up there to see you with the finished product. the shop would have no excuse if they finish your project by the end of April.

I would be so scared to drive the Tl-s anywhere over where you are.good luck with it. but hey i bet you can get some bad ass shots because the scenery over there is so different from here.
