supercharging

has anyone thought about supercharging a CL-s?

There's already one out there, made by Comptech. Unfortunately they are shutting down due to low sales.

how so, was the product not that good or just low sales because of low demands?

i checked it out n its only for 6 speed, there rn't that many 6-speed around!

Low sales/demand and personally, for $4,000 I'd expect more than approximately 50whp gain. With our cars, I'd recommend a custom turbo set up. If you don't want the turbo lag, go with 2 small twin turbos, I'm sure it could be fabricated.

WRONG noob it was for the auto's as well

he is right about there being few 6mt's tho. 3500 or so last i checked on wikipedia.

$3500 or $4k for just 50hp is highway robbery.......no wonder why they're closing shop.

There's alot more then just 1 s/c'ed CL out there.

edit: you're probably thinking he means companies. I took it as how many cars.

A cheap pulley upgrade got me over 280whp (a gain of about 80whp over a stock CLS) on my '01 Auto CLS. Good enough for low 13's in the 1/4. The 6-spds were routinely getting over 300whp.

My Magnuson supercharger for the CTS-V cost almost $8k installed, so the $4k for the Comptech was quite reasonably priced if you ask me!

ouch! hopefully those guys don't go out of business with such a high price and leaves you out to dry when it comes to your warranty.
