Ran a Personal Best at Union Grove

Decided to run on Friday night because it was a pretty cool night.

On my first three runs, I got bad wheel hop, so I aired the fronts down to 29psi. Seemed to help, because I got smoother launches.
Best run was a 14.655 @ 96.47.

This is with a AEM CAI, and pulley's.
Hopefully with the headers installed this monday, I can run around a 14.2-14.3 on a good day.

Another reason I ran is to simply have a more accurate benchmark to compare against versus with my headers installed.

here's the specs:

My bests:
60" 2.238
330 ft 6.274
1/8 9.527
1/8 MPH 76.89
1000 12. 312
1/4 14.655
1/4 MPH 96.47

Take Care Everyone,

Brian

Excellent times. What were the temp and humidity??????? What kind of tires do you have? Good luck with the headers. I can't seem to get any traction

To be honest, the first two, the 60' and the 330, were on a different day, much warmer out. But the rest were from last friday.

Actually, my best 60' time came on the first run ever (last fall)! I think the tires were still warm from the freeway drive. They barely let out a chirp out of the hole.

Traction was pretty tough on Friday, it had to have been in the low 60's, high 50's. Great for MPH, bad for launches. There was very little humidity as I recall.
The strange thing is, my first 3 runs were in the 14.9+ range, so I thought the nigh was going to be a bust. But you never know.
I really think it had to do with the temp of the tires. Towards the end of the night, there was virtually no wait, so the tires stayed warmer which = quick 1/4 miles times.

I am running stock tires.

Take Care,

Brian

BTW, My girlfriend wants everyone to know that she did pull off a 14.8 on the 2nd run. She was pretty scared at first, but ended up thinking it was awesome and wants to do it again.
