Yesterday, I went back. It was approximately 55 degrees, humidity was 60% i think, not too sure. Anyways, it was an amazing night outside to race.

Exactly the same ET as before. I just couldn't drop it lower than that. One thing's for sure, I'm getting a lot better because I didnt have one run over 15.1.
I take VSA off, put it in SS mode and apply brakes reving at 2500rpm and I just go FULL throttle off the line and then I shift from 2nd to 3rd a little passed 7000rpm (not too much since we all know it will bounce)... IS THIS THE PROPER WAY TO LAUNCH?????????????

I am SSOOOOOO PISSSED because a vr6 92 jetta beat me. He did 14.8!! Jesus, please, someone tell me what to do and i'll try it. would taking out the spare tire help? my gas tank was half full (or half empty, whatever ) ... would putting my 17's in front with dropped psi help that much even though they weight more than my 19's?

Have you double checked that Butterfly valve lately? If you need help on finding how to check to see if it works, there are plenty of threads on the 2nd gen forums for that. Also, it wouldn't hurt to mess with the tire pressure and swap them 17's on there. Even though the actuall 19" rim may be lighter than the 17" rim, with tires, I bet it might weigh more. Try it out with those 17's and see what you get. Then repost...

Your 60' times are what's killing you. You need to get it down to at least 2.1. Don't brake torque so much. Lauch at 1500rpm or less. You're wasting time spinning off the line. Run the 17's w/ tire pressures down to 24psi. You'll take about 1mph off your trap from the lower tire pressures but you'll drop your 1/4 time by at least 2-4 tenths due to lowering your 60'.

When I ran 13.4@105 I had a 2.1 60' time. If I got a 2.3 60' then I would run 13.7-13.9's. It really does make that much of a difference!!!

do I just go full throttle, or should I be easy on the gas off the line and than boot it when I'm sure the tires arent spinning anymore?

You want a little wheel spin, just don't want to be spinning so hard you're not moving forward. I pretty much used to slam the gas down about 3/4 of the way for about 2 tenths of a second and then floor it the rest of the way when I knew the tires were starting to hook up. Hard to explain, I know, but you'll understand a good launch when you feel it.

A good way to practice getting the "feel" for launching is to try it on some deserted asphalt backroads. These roads tend to offer less traction than you get at the track. If you can launch on that stuff without wasting too much time spinning then the track will become easy. Remember - DESERTED backroads.

eghhh yea buddy you cant just slam on the gas... try this... bring ur psi down to 24-25 and ur rear up to 35 people usualy forget that they have rear tires holding them back so dont forget to inflate them!! Then on ur launch brake rev up to 1500 and on green let go of da brake n push down on the gas..thats push not kick....if you kick its the same as not brake reving...it takes me like 1 second by the time i press the gas till it hits the floor.... another tip if you didnt know...if you are using sport shit, you cant control 1st gear. As a result ur car is shifting around 6500rpm... you hav like 500 rpm unused and it slows u dont because you enter 2nd very low... so throw it in the 1 position all the way down where it has like 1-2 then 3-4-5. After you get your first gear from that quickly throw it up and bring it into sport shift and take care of 2nd and 3rd gear with sport shift... and yes you do have enough time to bring it up from 1 to sportshift. CAUTION: be very careful not to slip and throw it into neutral when going up from 1 that happened to me once.. not too fun... good luck ps turn dumb tip: turn ur A/C, radio low beams, navi and anything else drawing power off. if its night leave the side markers on but ur headlight do draw allot of power.. if you dont believe me listen to your car wen you turn them on.. i have a CAI and i hear it suck in more air to charge the HID wen i turn them on.
