My 1/4 with 19's
Went to a random test and tuner with my brother yesterday, just because its been forever since I've gone (Cobra is broken).
He has a 05 Altima SE-R 6 speed with CAI and VIRS eliminator (essentially like elimiating our actuator so its open all the time).
My best was 14.49 @ 99.5mph, his was 14.3 @ 100.5mph. He actually hit 101mph, which is awesome for his mods. I was very surprised at my mph with having my 19's, I really wonder what it would run if I had better tires and lighter wheels.
My 60's were better than I expected, averaging in the 2.25 range. I tried experimenting with tire pressure and shock settings, with the best 60' being with 30psi and the rear shocks at '5' and the fronts at '3'.
Overall a fun day, I cut a couple +.005 lights (and a couple -.002 ), I wanted a perfect light, but no such luck.
Goes to show what light wheels and shorter diameter tires will do. At the same track ~ 2 yrs ago I ran a 13.9 @ 98.5mph with the only change being no passenger seat and 17x7 Centerline wheels (15lbs) and 225/45/17 BFG drag radials.
We did some highway pulls too and he would always put on about a 1/2 car because his gearing was better, but then I would hold it. We went to 130mph once and it was basically dead even once we were both in the same gear.

Oh, for sure. I sold them because I got my 13.999999 and did not have any intention of going back with the CLS. More of a bragging right, than anything.
Now with my Cobra being down for the past year, I wanted to shake the dust off. I still dont want to do any power mods, but I still want to get to the road course before the end of the year, and maybe get a set of swaybars to help with the body roll.
BTW I beat a G8 GT and LT1 Trans Am, the G8 ran a 15 something, and I absolutely tree'd the T/A. Nothing like beating up on track newbies.
