lost to a truck :(
i ran a friend of ours's 2002 Chevy Silverado Z71 single cab 4wd and i lost....
his mods are 4.53 gears and whole exhaust. My mods are intake / pulley i also had a friend with me that weighed 260 pounds . well from a roll we hit it, i pull about half a car then he SLOWLY takes it back and beats me by a bumper we did this 3-4 times same results him winning by a half a car to a bumper. We went from a stop and he has 4wd with 4.53 gears... he took a whole car on my from a stop and held it untill he shut off. non of our races exceeded 85 mph. Do you guys think i will win if i run him again with no 260 pound passenger / headers? i raced him and lost and kept thinking if the headers sitting in my damn turnk were in i'd peel away. i know not everyone post's a lost but hey it happens.

What do you drive??? That's a good place to start. Headers will always help in a CLS. If you're an Auto CLS then make sure you shift at redline in SS mode. Make sure you race from about 45-50mph with you in 2nd gear.

People don't realize how quick trucks can be. His gears help A LOT since he is putting down tons of torque with the 4.53 gears.
It sound like the headers and no passanger while turn the table though. A 260 lb person is like a .2 sec handicapp in the 1/4 which is a lot.
