How does a CL-S fair against a VW GTI?
 

Just wondering how an automatic CL-S would stack up against a Voltswagon GTI 2.0 turbo. They seem like they would be slower then a CL-S stock for stock, but I hear that they can be chipped really opening up the potential of the turbo.

I had an 01 Audi A3 with the 1.8T motor and it was very quick for what it was. I imagine the 2.0 while heaver is faster.

My money would be on the chipped 2.0T. Stock for Stock, at sea level I'd think the CLS would win. 07 GTI 200HP at 207 TQ. But 400LBS lighter. 252HP and 303TQ chipped. No question a chiped on will beat a CLS.

If your at high altitude I'd bet the stock 2.0T might beat you.

i beat a stock 2.0t twice...

I came from behind one and pulled by him in 3rd and pulled him to redline with about 400lb of people in my car. No doubt in my mind a CLS6 is faster stock for stock. I was suprised he was still pretty close to me when I hit 4th, so they are quick.
