howdy...am attending an driver's instructional course this weekend @ texas world speedway in College Station, TX.
was first wondering if anyone else will be there and also if ya'll had any advice...is a closed race track used by motorcycles/miatas, etc (i think) and i've never raced/pushed my CL all that hard.
thanks!
if nothing else, will post a review of the weekend and will try to find out earlier about the next one to get mo' CLs there.

TWS is a great track. Last time I ran there it was in rough shape, but I understand they have resurfaced it. Texas A&M Sports Car Club (and I) has run events ther since 1969. The Porsche club, BMW club, WERA (motorcycles, SCCA, and others use this track. I have raced both cars and bikes there. Some events use portions of the banking, and some use only the road course. It can bite you. I have won there (1st in GTO, IMSA Camel GT, 1971, and SCCA, Vintage, 1985) and crashed there (Porsche club event 1985).
With the correct attitude you will have a great time. Go to have fun and learn, not to beat people and go fast. The more relaxed you are, the more fun you'll have, and the better you will do.
Go there, run your car, post your impressions and results so the rest will benefit from your experiences.
Enjoy!
